STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl Has Been Delayed Again, This Time Until November

As a long-time fan of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and frustration at the latest delay for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. On one hand, I understand that game development is a complex process and fixing bugs and adding polish takes time. But on the other hand, I’ve been eagerly anticipating this game for years and have grown tired of waiting.

Ukrainian gaming company, GSC Game World, has revealed that the launch of “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl” has been pushed back once more, with the initial planned date of September 5th now targeted for November. This decision comes as the team works diligently to iron out remaining issues and add some final refinements to the game.

GSC has released a fresh video named “Really, Again?” in alignment with the project delay. In addition, they have announced a developer deep dive video planned for August 12th. This upcoming session promises to be the most extensive update on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, featuring interviews with developers, exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses, new gameplay footage, an explanation of the game’s setting and locations, and a complete run-through of a story mission.

The release date for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been set for November 20th, and it will be accessible on Xbox Series X|S and PC right from the start through Xbox Game Pass.
