Stake’s huge jump from traditional sports to esports with Vitality
In a stunning turn of events, Stake has left everyone astounded by its strategic shifts in Formula One racing and football, and is now ambitiously aiming at one of the most formidable eSports Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS2) teams globally.
2021 has seen significant success for Vitality‘s CS2 squad, with them winning seven out of the eight elite-level tournaments they participated in, followed by a multi-year deal with Stake – the global leader in crypto casinos.
Although it’s unclear for how long this partnership will endure, Stake has already made significant sponsorship commitments in Formula 1, MMA, and football. Now, with their inaugural esports team on board, they aim to establish further connections among their talent pool.
The team shared a video update on their social platforms, detailing aspects of the new partnership as well as the upcoming jersey transformation.
The video drew a lot of favorable feedback, despite Stake having a poor reputation in the world of cryptocurrency. Remarkably, viewers showed their admiration for the video, often without backing the brand.)
In the video, you’ll find several well-known figures who are currently backed by Stake, potentially appearing in Vitality’s upcoming content.
- Max Holloway: Active MMA fighter who specializes in Muay Thai and has a very positive score on the featherweight division.
- Anderson “Nenê” Luiz de Carvalho: He is the oldest player (44 years old) playing in the Brasileirão, Brazil’s top-tier football league. He previously played for teams like Monaco, PSG, and West Ham United.
- Nico Hülkenberg: German F1 driver who is currently racing for Sauber. This team is also fully sponsored by Kick, Stake’s streaming platform.
- Ed “Eddie” Craven: Stake and Kick’s co-founder. He’s currently the streaming platform’s content creator and streams himself playing online casino.
When is Vitality and Stake’s partnership starting?
Starting right away, the CS2 team will incorporate the Stake logo into all upcoming jerseys they sell. The logo is now displayed on both the chest and shoulder regions. Prior to this partnership, these areas carried the phrase “We are Team Vitality.” For those who’d like a keepsake from the team’s second major championship win, there’s still an opportunity to purchase the old jersey before it runs out.
According to their announcement, the collaboration between Stake and Vitality will commence at the IEM Masters Cologne 2025. This significant tournament boasts a prize pool of $1 million and features a LAN playoffs stage that commences on August 1st at the LANXESS arena.
