Reports suggest that Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash’s marriage is facing difficulties. This comes after their recent documentary, which gave viewers an intimate look into their lives, received negative feedback from fans.
At the start of the year, the couple – once known for being very close in the entertainment industry – invited cameras into their well-known home, Pickle Cottage, for a BBC show. However, viewers quickly criticized Joe for what they considered childish actions.
The candid show depicted Stacey and Joe having intense arguments during couples counseling, and as they discussed the difficulties of parenting five children. Viewers felt the EastEnders star wasn’t contributing enough to the housework and childcare.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m hearing from my sources that Stacey is starting to have second thoughts about joining the show. Apparently, the negative response has been a real shock – it’s so different from how her other projects have been received – and she’s already thinking about how to turn things around and get her image back on track. She’s begun planning a strategy to rebuildher public persona, which is completely understandable given the circumstances.
Sources close to the couple have revealed that Stacey and Joe are currently experiencing their most difficult period yet. The actor has been finding it challenging to balance the demands of filming the show with the responsibilities of running their home and raising their children.
The couple have been together for nine years, tying the knot in 2022. They share three children: Rex, who is six, Rose, three, and Belle, two. Stacey is also a mother to Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 12, from earlier relationships. This makes for a blended family with a lot of love!

According to a source who spoke with The Sun: ‘Stacey has a demanding work life, meaning Joe frequently takes responsibility for getting the children to school promptly and ensuring meals are prepared. ‘
He has occasionally felt like he didn’t receive enough support, and people have wondered if they’re truly able to succeed in the long run.
The negative reaction to the show has only drawn attention to the problems they’re dealing with, forcing them to carefully examine everything they’ve built, as they urgently try to prevent a complete collapse.
Viewers were surprised by Joe’s actions throughout the show. Late last year, during filming, footage captured a tense argument between him and Stacey, which reportedly caused the Loose Women star to become upset and cry.
During the show, viewers frequently witnessed disagreements between Joe and Stacey. Joe’s difficulties with time management and challenges related to ADHD stood in stark contrast to Stacey’s passion for being highly organised. This difference often led to friction between them.
I was absolutely heartbroken watching Stacey in one episode. Poor thing! Joe just didn’t show up to a really important meeting, and she was left completely overwhelmed. She was trying to manage everything – taking care of the babies and somehow still trying to get her perfume launch off the ground. It was so stressful to watch, and I really felt for her! It really highlighted her strength, though.
Even though she pleaded with him not to disappoint her, the EastEnders star arrived five hours late, as he had been out fishing with friends.
People believe Stacey has developed a three-step plan to improve the situation, and it reportedly involves securing a high-budget television project.

The first season of Stacey and Joe showed the couple attending therapy sessions, and also highlighted their intense arguments.
Joe openly discussed his ADHD diagnosis, sharing that he used to feel like he didn’t fit into Stacey’s seemingly ideal life. He admitted he ‘always felt like a problem’ within that context.
Stacey explained: ‘I think our biggest problem is that I feel like I can’t express my thoughts without you feeling personally attacked. It feels like you take everything I say as a criticism of you as a person.’
Everything I do, I do for my family. So, when I hear something different, it’s really frustrating. It doesn’t feel like my efforts for them are being recognized, and that’s really upsetting to me.
Even though things sounded difficult, a source shared that the counselling sessions ‘really helped’ Stacey and Joe, and they now feel they are ‘in a really strong position marriage-wise.’
The duo is also planning to become the next prominent presenting pair in the entertainment industry. They caught the attention of This Morning executives with a recent guest spot where they discussed their documentary.
Besides his work on television, Joe is also making plans to create a two-acre fishing lake. It will include glamping pods – this project would be his most ambitious undertaking yet, done entirely on his own.
Following his time on EastEnders, Joe has been on several reality television shows. Meanwhile, Stacey has appeared on Loose Women and the home improvement show Sort Your Life Out.
Initially, Stacey wasn’t sure about Joe’s project, but now she completely supports her husband and is optimistic it will lead to another significant opportunity for him to work on his own.

Joe will also host Britain’s Young Dads, a BBC documentary lasting one hour. The documentary highlights the stories of other remarkable fathers.
Daily Mail has contacted a representative for Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash for comment.
Stacey and Joe have shared that reviewing footage of their disagreements actually helps them understand their own mistakes and see things from each other’s perspective. They’ve found this process to be more helpful than traditional couples’ therapy.
This news follows Stacey’s disappointment at another awards show, as she didn’t win any of the three National Television Awards she was nominated for.
She had been nominated for three prestigious gongs at this year’s NTAs.
Only a few months after Stacey expressed feeling ‘robbed’ of a BAFTA award, she faced another disappointment at an awards show. Her popular factual series, Sort Your Life Out, didn’t win an NTA at the ceremony held earlier this month. It marks another year the show missed out on the prize.
The popular reality show features Stacey and her crew revamping messy houses throughout the UK, assisting families in determining which belongings to keep and which to discard.
To add to the challenge, Sort Your Life Out and Stacey & Joe were both nominated in the Entertainment category – putting Stacey in a difficult position where she couldn’t win either way.
Ultimately, Clarkson’s Farm was the victor, though she didn’t win the TV Presenter award, with Gary Lineker taking home the prize instead.
