Stacey Solomon was spotted wearing her engagement ring on Thursday, marking her first public appearance since reports surfaced that she and Joe Swash haven’t officially tied the knot.
The presenter of Sort Your Life Out stayed comfortable and casual in a brown puffer jacket, rust-colored joggers, and white sneakers.
Stacey went out without makeup, but she did put her diamond engagement ring back on after being photographed last week without it.
I was so surprised to learn that despite having a beautiful wedding celebration at their home, Pickle Cottage, back in 2022, it turns out they never actually made their marriage official with the legal paperwork. It just came out on Wednesday, and I’m still a bit shocked, to be honest!
Stacey, 36, explained that they intended to officially register their marriage after the wedding because their venue wasn’t licensed to host civil ceremonies.
But three and a half years on, TV’s golden couple have still not made their union official.
This surprising news arrives just two weeks after the TV star faced questions about her relationship with Joe, 44, after she was spotted not wearing her wedding ring.
You know, I’ve seen this happen so many times with couples. They often plan to take care of things like legal paperwork, but life just gets in the way, especially when you’re raising a big family and juggling a million commitments. It’s easy to put it off, and then suddenly years have gone by. It’s completely understandable – six kids and busy schedules will definitely steal your focus!

As a lifestyle observer, I noticed some lovely photos circulating from last week! It looks like Stacey and Joe had a wonderful family day out at Port Lympne Safari Park in Kent, celebrating a special birthday – Stacey’s niece turned another year older. They seemed to be really enjoying themselves, and it’s always heartwarming to see families creating those precious memories together.
Her sister, Jemma, a popular social media personality, came along with her family, but the couple seemed a little strained as they walked through the park with their kids.
While Joe’s wedding band was visible, Stacey was once again not wearing her ring.
Fans of Stacey and Joe, who followed the couple on their BBC reality show, might be surprised to hear this news.
The couple documented their family life with their three young children: Rex, age six, Rose, four, and Belle, three. Stacey also has two older sons, Zachary, 18, and Leighton, 13, from previous relationships, and Joe has a son named Harry, born in 2007 from a previous relationship.
Stacey also has lucrative family fashion ranges with Asda and Primark.
According to a source, the fact that the seemingly flawless picture was actually fake will likely shock both companies and television executives who invested in it.
The couple initially met in 2010 while working on the show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, but they didn’t become a couple until 2016. They then moved in together in 2018.
Joe proposed on Christmas Eve in 2020 while they were taking a romantic walk. A year after that, they moved into a place called Pickle Cottage.
Following her wedding, Stacey explained the legal requirements for getting married. She pointed out that a venue needs a civil ceremony license to legally perform a marriage.
Honestly, getting this license is EVERYTHING, and I just learned one of the things they need to see is that the venue has to be open and ready for events. Like, totally accessible for ceremonies – it’s non-negotiable! I’m already picturing it all… it has to happen!
Since this is our family home and we want to keep it that way, that option wasn’t suitable for us.
Okay, so it’s not a huge, flashy wedding, but honestly, it’s perfect. They’re having this incredibly intimate blessing with just their nearest and dearest – the people who really get them. It’s all about celebrating their love in a really personal and meaningful way, and I’m just… so happy for them! It’s like, a true ceremony of their connection, and I can’t wait to witness it, even if it’s from afar!
‘We will register our marriage legally after.’
The couple celebrated with a home ceremony that included a performance by James Argent and his band, and Mrs Hinch was one of the bridesmaids.
Linda Robson, who appears on Loose Woman, and former Towie cast member Ricky Rayment were also guests at the wedding.
Instead of selling wedding photos to a magazine, the couple chose to share them on social media and asked guests to donate to Grief Encounter, a charity that supports people dealing with loss. They also generously donated their wedding decorations to Barnardo’s.
Someone close to Stacey and Joe shared with the Daily Mail that they had an amazing wedding day.
The day was perfect – the weather was beautiful, and they enjoyed a wonderfully happy time with their kids and family.
Stacey wanted her wedding day to both honor her Jewish heritage and feel contemporary and enjoyable for all her guests.
They dreamed of a small, private wedding at home, and that’s exactly what they got – a perfectly intimate celebration.
Stacey recently clarified her relationship with Joe on the show This Morning, addressing rumors that they had split after she was seen without her wedding ring.
Ben Shephard, the show’s host, addressed the rumors circulating about the two guests, asking, ‘So, what’s the deal with all the gossip, Stace?’
Stacey replied: ‘What are they? Go on. There’s a new rumour each week!’
Ben explained: ‘You’ve not been wearing your ring. There might be some issues going on?’
‘Do you know what, I am terrible. I don’t read any of that stuff.
‘In fact, does anyone anymore?’ Stacey asked.
Oh, and I realized I wasn’t wearing my ring. I probably just took it off when I went to the bathroom or something like that.
Ben mentioned Joe’s fishing lake project near Pickle Cottage is progressing well, saying there’s a lot happening with it as the plans are finally becoming a reality.
