Stacey Solomon nearly suffers huge makeup fail on BBC’s Sort Your Life Out show and is forced to go on a late night supermarket dash
On her BBC show, Sort Your Life Out, Stacey Solomon shared an incident where she almost experienced a significant makeup mishap. She turned to Instagram, seeking advice from her followers to avoid this predicament.
As a dedicated follower, I found myself preparing for our Scotland adventure, my team and I were all set to kick off filming bright and early on Thursday morning. However, an unexpected hiccup occurred: my trusted makeup artist, Penny, encountered a predicament – her bag went missing at the airport.
Stacey had to make an unexpected trip to the supermarket at night with one of her colleagues, hoping to gather all the necessary items since they were about to commence filming in the early morning hours.
She mentioned that she requires assistance as you are aware of Penny, her dearest friend and a skilled makeup artist. Regrettably, Penny had traveled separately to Scotland, bringing along her entire makeup collection. Unfortunately, their luggage has gone missing, which is heartbreaking for her.
‘So she’s at the airport now trying to sort it out and find out what’s gone wrong.’
Recognizing that Penny might not get her bag back right away, Stacey hastened to the supermarket in an effort to compile a complete makeup set before her show’s filming at 6 am.

She added: “However, it seems unlikely that they will discover what they need before our recording of Sort My Life Out tomorrow. Therefore, I must head to the supermarket and assemble a make-up kit for Penny to apply my makeup the next day.
On a late-night shopping spree at the supermarket with my colleague Shannon from Sort Your Life Out, we’re in search of some excellent makeup recommendations from all of you. Can anyone help?
For all aspects – foundation, eyes, eyebrows, lips, cheeks, and more – I’m seeking your valuable input and assistance.
In the second video, a considerate Tesco’s store employee graciously unlocked the cosmetics displays for Stacey and Shannon, enabling them to gather essentials for their makeup kit in preparation for an early-morning shoot.
I chipped in: ‘Things weren’t shaping up favorably, but the gracious team provided access to the makeup, and I followed every piece of advice you’ve given me! Tomorrow at 6am, we’re starting this journey, so keep your fingers crossed and I’ll share the outcome. Sending love to each one of you.’
Stacey’s popular TV program, where a team revamps homes by organizing belongings and designing custom storage spaces, will return for its fifth installment.
Following Stacey’s unexpected outburst, she revealed an uncharacteristic side during an angry tirade aimed at the BAFTA judges online, after not receiving an award at the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises.
In the Factual Entertainment category, the star’s BBC show, Sort Your Life Out, was up for an award, but it wasn’t the winner; instead, that title went to Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder’s program, The Grand Tour.

As a die-heart fan, I simply couldn’t hide my disappointment when she applauded the winners. In truth, I found myself expressing how devastated I was for my team, who, in my opinion, truly deserved the accolade. To put it bluntly, I strongly believe they were unfairly denied their rightful victory.
As a passionate connoisseur of life’s finer aspects, I couldn’t help but express my deep disappointment in an impromptu heart-to-heart with my Instagram family recently. You see, I found myself falling short in a prestigious category, leaving me bereft at the thought of not taking home the solo gong for Entertainment Performance.
Clad in a green Nike sweater and matching blue cycling shorts, Stacey tended to her vegetable garden as she shared with her followers her emotions over the recent loss.
Stacey, radiating in her transformed wedding gown, vented her frustration: “We didn’t secure a BAFTA. Now, I should probably handle this with the poise of a champion, but honestly, I’m heartbroken!
I’m really struggling with this, I’m finding it tough – I’m heartbroken! I’m heartbroken not just for myself but for the entire team as well. Honestly, I’m feeling quite down about our team.
Everyone donned their finest attire, filled with optimism, likely due to their tireless efforts. After all, putting together a show like Sort Your Life Out isn’t a walk in the park, and the dedicated team behind it truly deserves the BAFTA award.
I’m deeply disappointed that the Sort Your Life Out team wasn’t awarded a BAFTA. However, I want to clarify that I recognize the merit of other winners as well; they truly deserved their awards too.

‘Many believe creating television is effortless, but it isn’t. Everyone should be acknowledged for their contributions. However, I am deeply disappointed for our entire Sort Your Life Out team, as I truly felt they deserved a BAFTA nomination. To put it bluntly, I am heartbroken!’
To share the behind-the-scenes process of creating their show, she continued: ‘We carefully dismantle a house within seven days, transporting it to a warehouse where we methodically sort through every item. Instead of carelessly discarding things, we donate, recycle, and resell them. Our goal is to help families move forward by organizing everything and setting up systems for these items.’
Additionally, she acknowledged the families who generously share their personal space with television viewers, often exposing themselves to potential judgment.
With her hands waving in the air, an angry Stacey expressed: ‘I’m really disappointed!’ before commending her entire team and stating that they were determined to put their best effort into series six.
