Stacey Leadbeatter’s Heartbreaking Health Scare Before BGT Semi-Finals!

Performer Stacey Leadbeatter from Britain’s Got Talent has expressed concerns about not being able to perform vocally during the live semifinals, following a diagnosis of strep throat.

In her audition, the vocalist left the judges astonished by her performance, earning a Golden Buzzer from KSI. Her voice had undergone retraining because of a stutter.

Although Stacey, aged 29, successfully advanced to the semifinals, she has confessed that her illness may prevent her from performing during this weekend’s live shows.

With unwavering resolve, the star expressed her optimism that her strep throat won’t hinder her triumph. She is eager to pour her entire heart and effort into her performance at Wembley Arena before the judges.

‘My voice is only just coming back,’ she told The Mirror.

I’m currently taking antibiotics and my singing voice hasn’t been up to par. I’ve had some worries about this coming weekend, but I’m hoping I can perform by then.

Initially, supermarket employee Stacey left the judges and spectators spellbound during her audition, as she belted out Leona Lewis’ rendition of “Run,” originally by Snow Patrol.

Prior to appearing on Britain’s Got Talent, Stacey had only given one performance, and she needed to work on her singing voice because of a speech problem.

She mentioned that it was very difficult for her audience to comprehend the words she was singing in a video she took around four or five years back, as her speech impediments were quite severe at the time.

During the lockdown, I spent time attending virtual adult speech therapy sessions on YouTube, which later became part of my singing practice.

If I skip these specific workouts consistently over a few weeks, I may find myself slipping back to my previous state.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: “I, personally, found myself pressing the buzzer in approval as YouTube sensation KSI, aged 31, propelled Stacey straight into the semifinals during our recent judging session. Fellow judge Amanda Holden, at 54, echoed my sentiments, labeling her performance as simply amazing. The thunderous cheers from the massive Blackpool audience confirmed that we weren’t the only ones captivated by Stacey’s talent.

Reflecting on her past experiences, Stacey once mentioned: ‘At high school, I had a slight stutter which others would mock by imitating me.’

‘Children unfortunately sometimes can be a bit harsh and I wasn’t the popular girl at school.’
