On December 31st, Netflix revealed that Season 2 of the series had amassed 68 million views, making it their seventh most popular non-English language program. Furthermore, it holds the record for the highest number of initial-week views among all shows on the platform.

According to Digital Spy’s review, Squid Game’s second season shifts focus from the constant threat of violence in the first season to delving deeper into the personal lives and emotions of the characters, making it a richer and more intimate viewing experience.

This new season features additional characters that elicit similar emotional responses to our beloved ones who have departed, while also delving deeply into understanding these newcomers both individually and in terms of their roles within the larger group.
