Squid Game S3: Shocking Return of Presumed Dead Ally

In the trailer for Squid Game Season 3, it was shown that one of Gi-hun’s co-rebellion members survived the cliffhanger ending of Season 2, despite initial doubts about their fate. The climactic finale of Squid Game Season 2 featured a player uprising spearheaded by Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), but the rebellion ultimately fell apart when the Mastermind (Lee Byung-hun) chose to unmask himself and betray the players.

In the uprising, it is believed that one of the casualties was Gyeong-seok (Player 246), who appeared to have been fatally shot by Kang No-eul, one of the masked workers who seemed poised to support the players’ movement.

At exactly 46 seconds into Netflix’s fresh teaser trailer for Squid Game Season 3, a fleeting glance of Gyeong-seok appears, hinting that his character is indeed alive and secretly held captive by Kang No-eul.

Returning, Gyeong-suk becomes an essential factor as he offers Gi-hun a hidden confidant who can aid him in confronting the Front Man and completing his quest to put an end to these dangerous games.

The video seems to depict No-eul taking out or deactivating a tracking device within Gyeong-suk’s body, enabling him to convincingly feign his demise and evade detection by the Front Man and his followers.

It’s understandable that Kang No-eul lends aid to Gyeong-suk in their current situation, as she is cognizant of his daughter Na-yeon’s battle with leukemia. For the benefit of those who might not know, No-eul and Na-yeon had a touching encounter in the first episode of Squid Game Season 2. In another scene from the Squid Game Season 3 teaser, we see the character No-eul stealthily moving near the Squid Game facility’s buildings.

She might either be devising an exit plan for herself and Gyeong-suk, or she could have become part of Gi-hun’s mission aimed at permanently stopping these games.

In the upcoming Season 3 of “Squid Game”, we find Gi-hun once more entangled in the deadly competition, having lost his comrade, Jung-Bae, in the nail-biting finale of Season 2, which left us hanging.

The third season of Squid Game, set to air on Netflix in June 27, 2025, boasts a talented ensemble of South Korean actors, with Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Kang Ha-neul, and Wi Ha-jun taking the lead roles.

What Player 246’s Survival Means for Gi-Hun in Squid Game Season 3

Faced with a tough final showdown against The Front Man, Gi-hun might desperately rely on any assistance. If Gyeong-suk manages to survive at the right moment, his timely rescue could prove invaluable for Gi-hun.

Joining the rebellion at the end of Season 2 for Gyeong-suk signifies his acceptance and commitment to Gi-hun’s goal to dismantle the game system.

Instead of just rescuing Gyeong-suk for his own survival and reunion with his daughter, Kang No-eul might be able to persuade him to participate in Gi-hun’s mission to halt the Front Man and the games as well.

Gyeong-suk and No-eul prioritize rescuing Gi-hun and the other players initially as they require additional allies to carry out their ambitious scheme.

Nonetheless, it’s essential to bring No-eul into our player’s uprising as she possesses vital game secrets. Having No-eul on our side could mark the beginning of a pivotal shift that might lead to the demise of the Front Man.
