As a long-time fan of the Kingdom Hearts series, I must admit that the delay in the launch of Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link has left me feeling a bit like Sora lost in the Heartless-infested darkness – confused and slightly frustrated. However, having been through many twists and turns in the Kingdom Hearts saga, I’ve learned to trust Square Enix and their dedication to delivering an exceptional gaming experience.
Square Enix has postponed the release of their action RPG, Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link, to an undisclosed future date. This game was first unveiled in April 2022 as part of the 20th anniversary celebration for the Kingdom Hearts franchise. A prototype test began in Japan in January 2023, followed by a closed beta test in select regions. The iOS version started testing in November 2023, with Android following in January 2024. Originally planned for release this year, it has now been delayed.
Square Enix postponed the game’s launch beyond 2024 to an unannounced date
The game titled “Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link” is an action RPG set within the cherished Kingdom Hearts universe, which features GPS navigation. In this title, you’ll journey through the realm of Scala ad Caelum while unraveling an entirely fresh narrative. This game stands out due to its innovative control mechanism, where players can navigate using GPS or movement buttons – a feature that is relatively unusual for games in this franchise, as it’s only found in a handful of others.
In our preparations for the debut of “KINGDOM HEARTS Missing-Link”, we’ve chosen to postpone the launch date. We truly regret any inconvenience this may cause to those eagerly awaiting its release. Your understanding is greatly appreciated as we work towards providing more updates in the near future.
