How to unlock Hero Spike for free in Squad Busters
In simple terms, Spike – the renowned brawler hailing from Brawl Stars – made an entrance as a healing hero. Known for his quiet demeanor and clever cactus maneuvers, this character lays harmful spikes as he moves and revitalizes the team when stationary. His abilities amplify healing, damage output, and speed.

For a week, this running event offers an opportunity to fully access Spike at no cost, plus additional bonuses. However, it’s worth noting that this event is quite intensive and requires a lot of effort. Nevertheless, a week could potentially be sufficient.
The upcoming event follows the same pattern as previous events, such as giving Mortis away for free during the Piñata Community event held in May 2025. To unlock a total of 48 reward tiers, you’ll need to gather cacti from battles. Spike will only be accessible once all 6,460 cacti have been collected.
In most cases, you’ll acquire cacti primarily by overcoming big Spike NPCs in combat. Modes such as Pinata Party or Duos can assist you in locating them effectively. Typically, you’ll receive around 30 to 40 cacti per game, and daily track rewards may provide up to 750 each day, adding up to a total of 5,250 cacti throughout the event.
If you’re on the shorter side, you have the option to purchase additional cacti from the store using either coins or actual money. The benefits you’ll receive are varied, such as coins, chests, chest multipliers (doublers and triplers), stealth tickets, hammers, and hero points.
