How to unlock Hero Spike for free in Squad Busters

In a new role, Spike, the renowned combatant hailing from Brawl Stars, entered the scene as a Healing Hero. Known for his quiet demeanor and clever cactus maneuvers, this character lays down harmful spikes when moving and revitalizes the team when stationary. His skills amplify healing, damage output, and speed.

As a devoted fan, I’m excited about this upcoming weekly event! The primary goal is to fully unlock Spike at no cost, along with some additional perks. Yet, there’s a twist – it’s a demanding event that requires grinding. But with a week of dedication, I’m hopeful that I can conquer the challenge and reap the rewards!

During the upcoming event in May 2025, similar to past events like the Piñata Community event where Mortis was given for free, you’ll need to gather cacti from battles to unlock a series of 48 reward tiers. The character Spike will be unlocked only after collecting a total of 6,460 cacti across all these tiers.

In most cases, you’ll earn cacti primarily by overcoming tough Spike NPCs in battles. Modes such as Pinata Party or Duos can assist you in targeting them effectively. On average, you could earn around 30 to 40 cacti per match, and daily track rewards provide up to 750 per day, which totals approximately 5,250 cacti during the event.

If you’re on the shorter side, you have the option to purchase additional cacti from the store using either change or actual currency. As for the perks, they encompass coins, chests, chest multipliers (doublers and triplers), stealth tickets, hammers, and hero points too.
