Squad Busters September 2025 update: New features and additions explained

New Mode: Monster Trophy

This update’s biggest new feature is Monster Trophy mode, offering a unique gameplay experience. While players are put into randomly created squads, they still get to choose their initial team members and heroes.

The goal is to collect 500 gems, which will let you grab the main trophy and turn into a giant monster! Once you become the monster, you need to survive for 30 seconds while everyone else tries to defeat you. There’s also a leaderboard to see who gets the best times and scores.

Lucky Boxes bring new rewards

We’re introducing Lucky Boxes as a new way to earn rewards and track your progress. You can unlock boxes at five different levels – Common, Rare, Epic, Mythic, and Legendary – by winning daily matches, completing quests, and taking part in events.

Each level of the game unlocks different rewards, including things like in-game currency, boosts for loot boxes, and points to improve your heroes. You can also get special cosmetic items like emotes and character skins, and even unlock entirely new heroes. Better loot boxes give you a higher chance of reaching higher levels, making each unlock feel thrilling.

Squad Busters October 2025 Sneakpeeks

Although September will only see a small number of updates, October promises to be much more exciting, according to the developers’ roadmap.

PEKKA joins as the newest hero

Okay, so PEKKA just dropped as a new fighter hero, and let me tell you, she’s a beast! She hits *hard*, dealing 600 damage every second, and she’s super tanky with 10,000 health. Her main thing is this ability called “Fissure” – basically a massive ground smash. The more you level it up, the more devastating it gets, and it has 5 levels total. It’s gonna be crazy!

As a fan, I’m really impressed with this hero! She’s not just powerful, but also super tricky to fight. She can land some seriously damaging critical hits, and she’s got these cool buffs based around butterflies. Plus, she’s got extra health, making her really durable. What’s *really* cool is her turbo ability – it makes her completely immune to stuns and pushbacks, something no other hero could do before! It’s a game changer.

Bandit gets her Ultimate form

Bandit is receiving a major upgrade in October that significantly boosts how she earns coins. Before, she only gained coins by defeating enemies. Now, in her ultimate form, she’ll automatically generate two coins every three seconds.

Arcade Blitz mode

The October update introduces Arcade Blitz mode, a new way to play set in an arcade world. It’s different from regular battles because you can have any number of squad members, and they don’t combine. You begin with one hero and build your team up continuously by collecting gems.

This new game mode changes things up by letting abilities get stronger when used with multiple units of the same kind, resulting in quick and powerful effects. To celebrate, some characters are receiving special silver and gold-themed skins.
