Squad Busters just released a big update on September 23rd, 2025! Players can now enjoy the new Monster Trophy, a powerful hero named PEKKA, lucky boxes, and other exciting additions. Here’s a look at everything included in this month’s update.

Squad Busters September 2025 update: New features and additions explained

New Mode: Monster Trophy

This update’s biggest new feature is Monster Trophy mode, offering a unique gameplay experience. It creates random squads for you, but you still get to choose which soldiers and heroes you start with.

The goal is to collect 500 gems. Doing so lets you grab the main trophy and turn into a giant monster! Then, you have to survive for 30 seconds while all other players try to defeat you. A leaderboard keeps track of the best scores and times.

Lucky Boxes bring new rewards

We’re introducing Lucky Boxes as a new way to earn rewards and track your progress! You can unlock up to five different tiers – Common, Rare, Epic, Mythic, and Legendary – by winning daily matches, completing quests, and taking part in events.

Each level of the game unlocks different rewards, like coins, boosts for chests, and points to improve your heroes. You can also get exclusive items like special animations, character designs, and even entirely new heroes. The better the reward box you open, the higher your chances are of reaching even better levels, making each unlock feel exciting.

October 2025 Sneakpeeks for Squad Busters

Although September will only see a few small updates, October looks like it will be much more exciting, according to the developers’ plan.

PEKKA joins as the newest hero

Pekka is a powerful fighter hero who enters the battle with impressive stats – 600 damage per second and 10,000 health. Her main ability is a powerful ground smash called “Fissure,” which becomes even more devastating as she gains power, reaching a maximum level of 5.

She’s a particularly formidable opponent thanks to abilities like critical hits, health boosts, and buffs inspired by butterflies. Plus, her special ability prevents her from being stunned or pushed around, making her the first hero with this unique defense.

Bandit gets her Ultimate form

The Bandit will reach her full potential in October, greatly improving how she earns coins. Before, she only received coins by defeating enemies. But once she unlocks her ultimate form, she’ll automatically generate two coins every three seconds.

Arcade Blitz mode

The October update introduces Arcade Blitz, a new game mode set in a fun arcade world. It’s different from regular battles because you can have as many squad members as you want, and they don’t combine. You begin with one hero and keep adding to your team, collecting gems as you go.

This new game mode changes things up by letting abilities get stronger when used with multiple units of the same kind, resulting in quick and powerful attacks. To celebrate, some characters are receiving special silver and gold-themed skins.
