Though romance might be in the cards for some characters, it won’t happen immediately. With the finale of Spy x Family Season 3, viewers didn’t get the Season 4 announcement they hoped for.
I was really hoping to hear that Spy x Family would get another season right after the last episodes finished, but sadly, it hasn’t been announced yet! The official team posted on X (formerly Twitter) to let everyone know that updates on Season 4 are still a ways off. It’s a bit disappointing, but I’m still holding out hope!
Spy x Family Season 3 Ends Without Season 4 Announcement
I’ve learned about a special event happening on November 8th, 2026, and it’s got fans thinking we probably won’t hear about Season 4 production for almost a year. The event will include the Japanese voice actors who work on the anime, like…
- Takuya Eguchi (Loid Forger)
- Atsumi Tanezaki (Anya Forger)
- Saori Hayami (Yor Forger)
- Kenichirou Matsuda (Bond Forger)
- Kensho Ono (Yuri Briar)
- Ayane Sakura (Fiona Frost)
- Natsumi Fujiwara (Damian Desmond)
- Emiri Kato (Becky Blackbell)
The recent confirmation comes after Shueisha’s Jump Festa event last week, which included a Spy x Family panel but didn’t announce any new anime projects. To keep fans entertained while they wait for more, a new image from the final episode (episode 50) of Season 3 was revealed. It shows Loid, Yor, Bond, and Anya skiing, looking frightened—except for Anya, who is happily enjoying the ride.
While the anime creators haven’t officially announced a fourth season, many fans believe the third season was setting things up for more episodes. It explored complex themes and deepened the connection between Anya Forger and Damien Desmond, suggesting the groundwork was being laid for future storylines and emotional development.
I’ve been watching the latest season of Spy x Family, and it’s largely based on the ‘Red Circus’ arc from the original manga. It all starts with a school trip gone wrong – Anya’s bus gets hijacked by members of a dangerous terrorist group called the Red Circus. This incident really changes things between Anya and Damian; they put their usual competition aside and team up with their classmates to figure out a way to deal with the situation.
Tatsuya Endo began writing Spy x Family in March 2019, three years before the anime adaptation premiered. This means the anime hasn’t covered everything from the manga yet, and there’s still plenty of story to tell. The “Term Finals” arc, found in volumes 12 and 13 of the manga, focuses on Anya trying to pass her school exams without using her telepathy. During this arc, Anya unintentionally reveals she has psychic powers to someone for the very first time.

The recent “Love & War” storyline in Spy x Family mainly follows characters outside the Forger family, but it offers some background on the original conflict between Westalis and Ostonia. Currently, creator Tatsuya Endo is working on the “Poacher Arc,” which centers around Yor Forger and her mission to save an endangered elk from poachers in southwestern Ostonia.
You can watch the Spy x Family anime on Hulu, Disney+, and Crunchyroll, though which service it’s on depends on where you are. The English version is available from VIZ Media.
