Spy Kids 3 star Robert Vito avoids felony domestic violence charges after he was hit with restraining order
As a dedicated fan of Robert Vito since his days as a charming child star in the Spy Kids franchise, this news about his recent domestic violence allegations has left me utterly disheartened and bewildered. The young man I once admired for his talent and charisma now stands accused, casting a dark shadow over his career and personal life.
Actor Robert Vito, who was previously part of the Spy Kids series, won’t be prosecuted for any felonies linked to a recent reported case of domestic violence.
Initially known as a young acting prodigy, aged 37, managed to evade a felony charge when the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office transferred his case to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, as reported by TMZ.
As a devoted follower, I must clarify that while the City Attorney’s office can bring forth misdemeanor cases, it remains undetermined whether there will be any lesser charges filed against me.
According to reports, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office found that Vito’s situation did not meet the necessary criteria for any felony indictments.
Investigators have been reviewing Vito’s situation since his arrest earlier this month following an alleged incident involving Lindsey Jennings, who was his girlfriend at the time, although they are no longer together now.
Six days following Jennings’ arrest, a judge in Los Angeles granted her a protective order against Vito, who is the father of their three-year-old child, Bode Vito Armando Diaz.
On November 9th, the actor from Spy Kids 3: Game Over was freed from jail after paying a $50,000 bail, as reported by TMZ, following a night of incarceration.
Robert and the Industry Insiders team member have a shared son, who they both appeared with on Halloween. However, she is also mother to three older kids.
On the evening of November 8th, officers from the LAPD showed up at the ex-couple’s residence in the Los Angeles area. Upon arrival, they noticed signs of injury on Lindsey, who claimed that Vito Diaz had shoved her into some pieces of furniture following a full day of drinking.
Jennings asserted that the acting coach at iPOP LA allegedly started physically struggling with her, following an incident where he supposedly threw their child onto a couch and knocked him down. However, authorities reported that the toddler seemed unharmed in the aftermath of these events.
In the year 2004, Robert received a nomination for the Young Artist Award in the category of ‘Best Ensemble’ in a feature film, thanks to his portrayal of the unruly gamer Rez in the movie titled “Spy Kids 3: Game Over”.
Despite receiving negative criticisms, Robert Rodriguez’s 2003 third installment of the family action series, starring Antonio Banderas, Carla Gugino, and Sylvester Stallone, managed to gross $197 million worldwide at the box office.
2005 saw Vito playing the role of David Owens, Kate Mara’s fictional brother, in director Mary Lambert’s direct-to-video horror sequel titled Urban Legends: Bloody Mary.
This actor, hailing from Tampa, has appeared as a special guest on numerous shows, including Chicago Hope, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Bernie Mac Show, Port Charles, and American Dreams.
It seems like he hasn’t been active much in film acting lately, with his last role listed on IMDb being from the 2011 film “Robotropolis.
Efforts to contact the actor were unsuccessful.
So far he doesn’t appear to have publicly commented on his arrest or subsequent legal developments.
