Fans were struck by the resemblance between actresses Margot Robbie and Samara Weaving at the Los Angeles premiere of Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come on Monday.
The two Australian actresses, often confused for one another, were photographed together at a VIP event. Samara, known for her role in the film, showed off her baby bump and looked radiant.
Margot, who had a baby with her husband Tom Ackerley in November 2024, looked happy and playfully touched bellies with Samara, who is also expecting a child.
Okay, seriously, did you SEE them? Margot and Samara looked uncannily alike! It was like looking in a mirror, and the best part? They even coordinated outfits! Margot had this amazing brown leather jacket on, and Samara was rocking a perfectly matching brown coat. I swear, it was too much! I almost couldn’t breathe – it was a perfect moment!
Margot chose a classic black mini dress and boots for her outfit. Samara, meanwhile, opted for a bold, light green maxi dress with a cutout that showed off her baby bump.
Samara, the niece of famous Australian actor Hugo Weaving, is pregnant and expecting her first baby with her husband, Jimmy Warden, who is a film director.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m not surprised to hear about Samara and Margot’s close bond! They’ve shared that they’re really good friends and make it a point to connect whenever they’re both in Los Angeles. It’s lovely to see them maintaining that connection.
Margot’s husband Tom and Samara’s husband Jimmy are great mates too.
The actress told Stellar magazine that she and her friend first met five or six years ago, and that their husbands have become very close, like best friends.
I’m lucky to have a close group of girlfriends in Los Angeles, many of whom are Australian. We make a real effort to spend time together – going out for dinners and enjoying girls’ nights without our husbands.
‘It’s so important to have that in LA because it can get really overwhelming’.
Samara has shared that people often mistake her for the Oscar-nominated actress and excitedly approach her, thinking she’s the one.
I’ve attempted to explain, ‘That’s not her, you’ve got the wrong person,’ but my Australian accent seems to confuse things. People still assume I’m Margot Robbie and that she’s being impolite. Now, I just end up mimicking her mannerisms,’ she shared with WHO Magazine.
Samara shared a story about a young fan of Margot Robbie mistaking her for the actress and asking for a photo.
She remembered not wanting to upset the woman, so she pretended to be Margot and mimicked her smile instead of correcting the mistake.
When someone asked if she was bothered by being constantly compared to the famous blonde actress, Samara laughed and said, ‘Not at all! It’s actually really nice. I adore Margs – she’s amazing!’
Samara became well-known to the public when she played the character Indi Walker on the Australian TV show, Home and Away.
Margot meanwhile cut her teeth acting in =Australian soap Neighbours.
