A last minute drop out for this year’s I’m A Celebrity has been ‘revealed’ as boxer Conor Benn.
Harley Benn, the 29-year-old son of boxing legend Nigel Benn, was scheduled to join the 2025 series of the show as a late contestant.
I’m hearing that Conor had to unexpectedly pull out of some discussions because a boxing match came up. It was a last-minute scheduling conflict, unfortunately!
Conor was planning to travel to Australia on Sunday, the day after his boxing match with Chris Eubank Jr, to begin his time on a reality show, likely in the jungle.
Although considered, Conor’s team and superiors ultimately decided it was too risky for him to participate, fearing an injury could prevent him from fulfilling other commitments the next day. Tom Read Wilson and Vogue Williams have been confirmed as the latest contestants joining this year’s show.
According to a source, Conor really wanted to participate, but it proved too difficult to fight on Saturday night and then immediately travel to Australia. The timing just didn’t work out.

He might have been able to pull it off by joining the event later, but boxing is so unpredictable that any injury would have prevented him from traveling.
Ultimately, both ITV and Conor decided the risk was too great, but there’s still a possibility of it happening later on.
The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Conor for comment.
Reports suggest Angela Rayner is close to appearing on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
There were rumors that the former housing secretary was being considered for a role at ITV. However, it turned out ITV executives believed the deal was already set to happen.
Sources revealed that Angela received a warning: participating in the reality show ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ (often called ‘The Jungle’) might permanently end her political career.
The former Deputy Prime Minister had to step down from her government positions in September after it was revealed she hadn’t paid £40,000 in taxes on a flat she bought in Hove, East Sussex.
On Tuesday, Richard Osman and Marina Hyde shared that Angela was almost chosen to appear on this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! by ITV executives.

On their podcast, ‘The Rest Is Entertainment,’ the hosts discussed how Ant and Dec have said they don’t want any more politicians on their show after Nigel Farage was a guest in 2023.
The Reform Party leader finished third on the show, earning £1.5 million for their appearance. They weren’t the first politician to compete – Nadine Dorries, Edwina Currie, Stanley Johnson, and Matt Hancock all appeared in previous years (2012, 2014, 2017, and 2022 respectively).
Richard and Marina reported that ITV was offered an interview with Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey, but the network decided not to include another politician at that time.
However, when Angela emerged as a potential, they simply couldn’t say no, it was understood.
Richard said ITV received another offer they felt they couldn’t refuse.
Marina explained that Angela Rayner was an essential part of the project, and it would have been impossible not to include her. Rayner made significant progress and was actively involved in discussions, making it a really important moment for her.
Honestly, if you thought things were wild for the Labour party last week, you wouldn’t believe this week. It feels like Angela Rayner is subtly running for leadership, and the whole thing blew up when she ended up talking about… well, eating kangaroo testicles on national television! It’s just unbelievably chaotic.
The host pointed out that she clearly intends to re-enter active politics. They also noted that if she does, it would mean leaving during parliamentary sessions.
Richard joked that it would be amusing to watch the public reaction to next week’s Budget while someone else was eating something unusual – specifically, emu anus. He then added, with a touch of sarcasm, that everyone would be doing the same thing after the Budget is revealed.
Marina thought Angela would have been a fantastic guest, but her return to politics unfortunately made it impossible.
‘I think what happened is obviously she does wish to return to frontline politics,’ she said.
She was warned that taking such action would be irreversible. However, I doubt the people who issued that warning are now in a position to decide who can or cannot recover from it.
‘We’ll have to wait and see but sadly that booking did not occur.’
Richard suggested ITV had a strong feeling the deal would go through, and Marina agreed, stating they believed it progressed very far.
