Spook-tacular Strictly! Vicky Pattison kicks off Halloween week with a ghoulish American Smooth as judges gush she could make it to the final

Oh my gosh, it’s HERE! Strictly Halloween week is back, and I’m losing it! All my favorite pros and celebs went ALL OUT with their costumes this year, and the judges looked amazing too – seriously, the spooky vibes were SO strong! I’ve been waiting for this all season!

Following a successful performance of their couple’s choice dance the previous week, Vicky Pattison and Kai Widdrington kicked off the show with a spooky American Smooth, set to Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.”

Vicky overcame some early competition jitters and was overcome with emotion when Motsi Mabuse praised her as a strong finalist. They started the evening with a score of 31.

Ellie Goldstein and her partner Vito Coppola then took to the floor with a dramatic Tango, set to Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra.”

Oh my gosh, you would NOT believe it! She totally killed it on the runway! Everyone was on their feet, giving her a standing ovation – it was insane! And the judges? They were so impressed with how much her technique has improved. She absolutely deserved the 27 points they gave her! I knew she could do it!

George Clarke was determined to do better this week after finishing last on the leaderboard the previous week.

Performing a Cha Cha to Charli XCX’s popular song ‘Apple,’ the TikTok star impressed judge Craig Revel Horwood, who complimented his fluid hip action.

Talking with Claudia Winkleman, he confessed that last week’s performance was disappointing and he’s determined to show he’s still improving.

And it seems the hard work is paying off after he received a score of 29.  

Last week on Strictly, Vicky became visibly emotional and struggled to hold back tears as she talked about feeling lost in her career.

During Icons Week on the show, the TV personality performed Cheryl’s song “Fight For This Love.” She was incredibly surprised and moved when Cheryl herself appeared in a heartwarming video message.

Vicky, known from the MTV show Geordie Shore, said she’d made mistakes in the past but has been working to improve herself. She believes her new song reflects that journey of personal growth.

She shared that the song’s message is about moving on from past mistakes, something she related to personally, as she’s previously expressed regret over being publicly known for her relationships with former partners on television.

Before she began speaking, she shared that Cheryl Cole is a major inspiration to her, especially because Cheryl came from a working-class background in Newcastle.

‘She has had her ups and downs, her grazed knees. I just feel like I can relate to a lot of that.’

Honestly, she seems so grounded when she talks about being little, like she had a really good upbringing. But then she admits things got tough as she grew up, that she kind of lost her direction for a while. It’s just…so relatable, and makes me adore her even more knowing she’s been through stuff like the rest of us!

I entered this field around age 21, and looking back, I definitely made some mistakes. I just wasn’t equipped to handle the challenges I faced at that point in my life.

I’m really focused on personal growth right now. Honestly, I just want to become someone I genuinely admire – someone I can be proud of when I look in the mirror. It’s a constant effort, but it feels really important.

Performing this amazing show is all worth it when I see my parents and sister in the audience.

I’ve discovered that with enough determination and confidence in yourself, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.
