Split Fiction Trailer Showcases the Return of the Friends Pass, Now With Cross-Play
Team EA and developer Hazelight have unveiled a fresh trailer for their latest creation, titled “Split Fiction“. This new video highlights the reintroduction of the Friend’s Co-op Mode, a feature that has been integral to the studio since they launched A Way Out in 2018. Previously seen in It Takes Two as well.
With the “Split Fiction” Friend’s Pass, you can extend an invitation to a friend to play cooperatively with you, even if they don’t own a copy of the game themselves. This pass also supports cross-platform gameplay, so you can join forces with a companion who is playing on any device or platform.
As an enthusiast, I find myself captivated by the unique premise of “Split Fiction,” where fictional characters Zoe, a fantasy writer, and Mio, a sci-fi author, unite to break free from a jointly crafted simulation of their literary creations. In the spirit of Hazelight Studios, this game is specifically tailored for cooperative play, offering an exhilarating blend of genres akin to the genre-hopping adventure found in “It Takes Two.
The game titled “Split Fiction” is set to debut on 6th March for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC at a price of $49.99/£44.99. It’s important to note that an EA Account is necessary to utilize the Friends Pass.
