“Spine-tingling” 5-star hit Alien: Earth gets exciting season 2 update from star Sydney Chandler

Okay, so last year we finally got Alien: Earth, which was super cool because it brought the whole Alien universe – you know, the one where nobody can hear you scream in space – to our TVs. It wasn’t just about the monsters, though. The story was really interesting – it followed a group of kids who ended up in these adult, artificial bodies, and it got pretty deep with all the questions that raised. Definitely a creepy and thought-provoking show!

At the end of the first season, the children successfully seized control of Prodigy Corporation’s island headquarters. They trapped the company’s eccentric and villainous founder, Boy Kavalier, and surprisingly ended up with a Xenomorph as a companion.

With the dangerous Eye still at large and the Weyland-Yutani Corporation determined to recapture the Xenomorph, a second season has been approved – which is great news!

Plus, Sydney Chandler, who plays Wendy/Marcy, has confirmed that filming will start very soon.

Chandler recently shared with Deadline that filming is scheduled to begin in May, though she hasn’t had a chance to read the scripts yet.

What to Read Next

This season’s filming will happen at Pinewood Studios in London, a change from the first season which was filmed in Thailand. Will this mean the show is no longer set on Kavalier’s island?

Details about season 2’s storyline are still scarce, but we’re still really looking forward to it. Here at Digital Spy, we absolutely loved season 1!

Our review gave Alien: Earth five stars, praising it for delivering the familiar, terrifying horror of the Alien series, while also exceeding expectations with a level of shocking gore that even dedicated fans will find surprising.

The show is incredibly popular, with a 94% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, meaning most viewers and critics loved it too.

You can now watch season 1 of Alien: Earth on Disney+. Production for season 2 starts in May, but there’s no confirmed date for when it will be released.

The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-color 100-page tribute to Harry Styles, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online.
