Spinal Tap light up Stonehenge as they perform a secret gig for their upcoming sequel – just a month after co-star David Kaff’s death

On a Thursday night, the band Spinal Tap illuminated Stonehenge during a clandestine performance. This event occurred about a month following the demise of their fellow artist, David Kaff.

In simpler terms, the imaginary band got back together to shoot the follow-up movie for the legendary 1980s rock mockumentary called “This Is Spinal Tap.

At the historical site in Wiltshire, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, and Christopher Guest are now captured in fresh images delivering a captivating, electrifying show.

Later on, well-known musicians such as Josh Groban, Eric Clapton, and Shania Twain made an appearance on the same stage where the popular rock group was performing.

Myleene Klass and her daughter were seen in the audience alongside popular actress Jamie Lee Curtis.

Spinal Tap II will once again be directed by Rob Reiner and is set to be released on September 12.

It comes just a month after legendary actor and musician David died aged 79.

The musician who portrayed keyboardist Viv Savage in the renowned 1984 movie passed away tranquilly in his sleep on July 11, according to a statement issued by his band Mutual of Alameda’s Wild Kingdom.

It read: ‘Our brother David Kaffinetti passed away peacefully in his sleep yesterday.

‘We are devastated by this event.

David was known for his warm, friendly words and sharp humor that could leave you laughing on the spot. He had an uncanny knack for making people laugh with ease!

‘RIP dear brother.’

This is Spinal Tap was first released in 1984 and starred Michael, Christopher and Harry.

Under the direction of Rob, who was also a cast member, this mockumentary comedy traced the journey of the infamous heavy metal band, Spinal Tap – known for being among England’s loudest groups – during their American concert tour.

David’s keyboard player, Savage, was renowned for his catchphrase: “Always have fun!” and “This computer wizardry is quite thrilling!”.

The sequel of his famous movie is set to release within two months, but unfortunately, David won’t be reprising his role this time around.

In September, we’re expecting the release of “Spinal Tap II: The Farewell Performs On,” a sequel that picks up where the original left off, as the band gets back together after 15 years for what is said to be their final performance.

Stepping back into the world once more with Spinal Tap II offers a unique opportunity to honor its past and bring something novel, appealing to both old fans and newcomers alike.

This Is Spinal Tap has a whopping 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes and has been praised by many.

The film was selected for conservation in 2002 by the National Film Registry. This decision came after the Library of Congress determined that the film held cultural, historical, and artistic importance.

David played an instrumental role as an original member of the British progressive rock group, Rare Bird, from the year 1969 up until 1975. The band became well-known for their 1969 hit single “Sympathy,” which reached number 27 on the charts and sold a million copies.

He also played keyboards for Chuck Berry on album The London Chuck Berry Sessions.

Following their breakout success in “This Is Spinal Tap”, the band embarked on tours and performed on Saturday Night Live in 1984. However, David eventually departed from the group towards the end of that year.
