Spider-Man 4 Update Reveals Filming Wrap & Reshoot Date for MCU Movie

There’s a new update about Spider-Man 4. Tom Holland’s upcoming Marvel movie is still scheduled to be released in theaters on July 31, 2026.

What’s the new update for Spider-Man 4?

I’m hearing from Daniel Richtman, a pretty reliable source, that filming for the new Spider-Man movie – Spider-Man: Brand New Day – is wrapping up in the UK this month! Apparently, Marvel and Sony are tentatively planning to start reshoots around February of 2026. Fingers crossed everything stays on track!

Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the upcoming Spider-Man movie, written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Zendaya, who won an Emmy for her role as MJ, and Jacob Batalon as Ned will return. Joining them are new cast members Sadie Sink (known from Stranger Things), Jon Bernthal reprising his role as Frank Castle/The Punisher, Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear) as Cathy, Michael Mando (Better Call Saul) as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, and Marvin Jones III (Black Lightning) as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone. Jones III previously played Tombstone in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018).

Mark Ruffalo, who famously played Bruce Banner/Hulk in the Avengers movies, will return for the upcoming film, Brand New Day. While he initially didn’t confirm his involvement, photos from the set have now confirmed his appearance. There’s also been talk that Hulk might transform into his more aggressive and dangerous form, known as the Savage Hulk, potentially linking to earlier rumors about his role in a future Spider-Man movie. The film is being produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Avi Arad, and Louis D’Esposito.
