Spider-Man 4 Set Video Previews Prison Break Scene With Returning MCU Villain

New footage from the set of *Spider-Man 4* has emerged as filming continues in the UK. Production was briefly paused at Pinewood Studios after Tom Holland sustained a minor concussion during filming. However, the team is continuing to shoot action scenes using Holland’s stunt double at a different location.

Who is in the Spider-Man 4 set video?

A video posted on YouTube by UnBoxPHD shows a police shootout with an unidentified person, alongside Spider-Man’s stunt double attempting to halt a tank. According to sources, the scene depicts a prison escape involving Michael Mando’s character, Mac Gargan/Scorpion, who will be a villain in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Scorpion was first introduced in the 2017 film, Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the next Spider-Man movie, written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Tom Holland is back as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are also expected to return. New cast members include Sadie Sink, known from ‘Stranger Things,’ and Liza Colón-Zayas from ‘The Bear,’ alongside Jon Bernthal reprising his role as the Punisher. There are also rumors that Mark Ruffalo will appear again as Bruce Banner/Hulk. Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Avi Arad, and Louis D’Esposito are producing the film.

The movie is set to arrive in theaters on July 31, 2026.
