Spider-Man 4 confirms obvious title as fans start guessing the plot
Spider-Man 4 has confirmed its official title: Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
At CinemaCon’s panel, where the movie’s director Destin Daniel Cretton was present, Tom Holland made an appearance through a pre-recorded video message.
The actor portraying Peter Parker mentioned that they had ended on quite an intense suspense, and then proceeded to reveal the movie’s name, as reported by Deadline.

Since Spider-Man: No Way Home was loosely based on the comic One More Day, and the following comic was named Brand New Day, it appears that the upcoming title is a fitting continuation of the storyline.
In the comic, even those aware of Peter’s secret identity as Spider-Man prior to him being unveiled publicly, often fail to remember or recognize him as such.
Following the announcement, fans on Reddit have begun speculating about the storyline. One fan suggested that “No Way Home” was a well-executed adaptation of “One More Day,” so it’s reasonable to expect “Spider-Man 4” to deliver a quality interpretation of “Brand New Day.
A different Reddit user hypothesized: “The title doesn’t offer much insight into the film’s plot – it’s merely a nod to Peter now having a fresh normal life following the events of No Way Home, which we are already aware of. I can’t understand why some viewers believe the name hints that the movie will focus on street-level action.
One spectator offered a more detailed perspective, speculating how the movie might connect to the broader MCU. They wrote: “Given all the gossip, I believe the film will initially appear as a street-level Spider-Man tale, but in the third act/conclusion, it’s suggested that it’s actually a deception engineered by Doctor Doom following his presumed victory in Avengers Doomsday.
Eventually, Peter will manage to shatter his disguise, possibly with aid from other Spider-Men like Andrew and/or Tobey. This will pave the way for the ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ storyline.
A different Redditor commented: “What he’s saying is that NWH, in essence, resembles One More Day, although it’s quite a flexible interpretation and ends up being quite enjoyable.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is released in cinemas on July 31, 2026.
