Spice Girls Reunite Without Victoria Beckham: The Shocking Reason Why
Ever since Victoria Beckham performed with the Spice Girls during the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics, there’s been a strong desire within the group for her to participate in another reunion.
For quite some time, they persistently pursued her, showing no signs of giving up: from repeatedly asking her through their shared WhatsApp group, to publishing appeals in public media, and attempting to persuade her husband, David, to support their cause.
It might be unexpected, but even with the band actively working on arranging another reunion tour, one key member is yet to be included: Victoria, who is renowned as the most recognized Spice Girl.
Why was she excluded from the band’s ongoing project that they plan to turn into a series of global concerts next year?
The reason can be boiled down to two simple words: Simon Fuller.
After several decades marked by strain and hostility, the remaining four Spice Girls – Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Halliwell (now Horner), and Emma Bunton – have reunited to work with their original creator and ex-manager, Simon Fuller, who is now 64 years old.
The group hopes they’ll be able to launch a profitable tour next year, celebrating the 30th anniversary since their first hit single “Wannabe” was released in 1996.
Nevertheless, unlike others who managed to move past their disputes, Victoria (age 50) and her spouse David find themselves at odds with the music tycoon.
Contrasting other individuals who were able to reconcile, Victoria (aged 50) and her partner David have developed a rift with the music entrepreneur.

In 2018, the relationship among the three parties had deteriorated to such an extent that both the Beckhams opted to terminate their agreements with Simon’s XIX Entertainment independently.
According to a reliable source within the band, if the Spice Girls are collaborating with Simon Fuller, it is highly unlikely that Victoria will participate in any capacity.
I can hardly believe it! After all those years of pleading for Victoria to join their team, they manage to get David on board, but now they’re ignoring her? It’s downright peculiar! I guess they figured there was no point since the Beckhams and Fuller are no longer an item; our relationship has come to an end.
‘Since the band requires a new manager, it’s clear that Victoria won’t play a part in this. Given their awareness of this fact, they didn’t consider asking her at all, as they have reunited with Fuller instead.’
In 2018, I disclosed that David had decided to leave Fuller, a collaboration that spanned over 15 years.
They purchased approximately £38 million worth of Fuller’s 33% share in David and Victoria Beckham’s business ventures, thus granting the Beckhams complete ownership over Beckham Brand Holdings. This holding company also includes a portion of the American football club, Inter Miami FC.
It was reported that they had a falling out, effectively ending their previous strong bond of friendship.
Then, in August 2019, Victoria also ditched Fuller, who had managed her up until then.

Despite still being shareholders in her fashion brand, the relationship between the Beckhams and Fuller has cooled significantly to the point where Fuller was not allowed to manage their son Cruz, who aspired to have a music career of his own.
According to reliable reports, the couple chose Scooter Braun, aged 38, who is known for managing artists like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, as they wanted a ‘more contemporary’ figure to guide Cruz.
According to a source, what was once a very tight bond between the Beckhams and the Fullers has become strained. It seems that David and Victoria desired to distance themselves, but Simon didn’t necessarily facilitate an easy separation.
‘They got there in the end and there has been no looking back.
As a devoted fan, I can confidently say that it’s not surprising to me that the Spice Girls chose Simon, given their decision. It’s quite peculiar, though, as I share the sentiment with the other fans that none of us held him in high regard before.
In fact, it was quite unexpected. Some of Fuller’s own employees were surprised when, during their last reunion tour in 2019, he flew over from Los Angeles to support the band on their opening night at Dublin’s Croke Park stadium.
Although he played a significant role in propelling the group to international stardom in the mid-90s, they decided to work without him for their 2019 performances as a quartet, sparking speculation that his traditional style might have been too outdated to orchestrate their comeback.
Rather than opting for another agency, they selected Modest Management, a London-based company known for managing acts such as One Direction and Little Mix.

It’s not just the unexpected return of Fuller, who was once called ‘yesterday’s man’, that causes tension; his longstanding conflicts with the Spice Girls add to it, as do their individual disputes among themselves.
A reliable insider shared with me that ‘The singers decided against working with Fuller previously, feeling that he lacked current understanding and wasn’t suitable for managing their tour successfully. They parted ways rather abruptly, as they preferred to exclude him from future plans.’
For several months, they’ve been tirelessly searching for a new manager, but the position has turned out to be quite challenging, largely due to the tumultuous friendship between Mel B and Geri. A role that was initially perceived as an attractive opportunity has become quite difficult, given the persistent conflicts between them.
Currently, they’ve returned to Fuller, and the atmosphere seems ominous. It’s hard not to suspect that this situation will culminate in sadness.
It’s clear that the recent tour was successful, earning each Spice Girl approximately £4.4 million, despite no one specifically managing it. With over 700,000 tickets sold for 13 sold-out shows in the UK and Ireland, it seems their leadership or guidance wasn’t required for a profitable outcome.
However, despite spending several months unsuccessfully searching for a manager with the aim of replicating their past achievements, the invitation extended to Fuller to manage the upcoming reunion tour could signify the strong desire among some members of the group to attempt another comeback.
Mel C has been subtly suggesting the possibility of a reunion tour in 2026. During an interview on Australia’s 2Day FM in March, she mentioned, “We need to do something exceptional. I can’t reveal too many details, but we are indeed discussing options. Fingers crossed for a global concert series.
However, Geri was somewhat evasive when questioned recently regarding a potential reunion. Instead, she expressed her affection for the Spice Girls as an entity, the group itself, and each member individually.

This week, it’s been disclosed that Fuller and Geri will gather in Miami on the 4th of May on Sunday for discussions aimed at reaching an agreement.
Geri’s spouse, Christian Horner, heads up the Formula 1 racing team Red Bull. In contrast, Simon is a passionate devotee and frequent visitor to the pit area during grand prix events globally. This weekend, they will encounter each other at the Miami race, as Fuller has been invited by Red Bull.
Initially, it seemed uncertain whether Geri would take part in the reunion or not, but currently, things appear to be more stable and secure.
It seems that Geri hesitated to participate because of the alleged misconduct against her husband, which involved inappropriate messages from a team member.
It seems that after publishing her children’s books, Geri appears to be relishing some popularity once more, and people who are acquainted with the band believe her attraction to being in the spotlight may have resurfaced.
Potential pitfalls abound, however, even if the reunion deal comes off.
The disagreement between Geri and Mel B still lingers: these two musicians experienced a significant falling-out when Mel B publicly disclosed during a 2019 TV interview with Piers Morgan that they had been involved romantically while they were in the Spice Girls together.
Geri was deeply upset by the bombshell, for which Mel has apparently never apologised.

This alone would make for a bumpy return to the road for the tour, never mind the rest.
A source close to the Spice Girls shared that there have been occasions where they’ve found it impossible to be together in one space due to certain disagreements. These arguments have proved challenging for their group, making it a tough period for them all.
‘If they can pull this tour off it will be nothing short of a miracle.’
When it comes to Victoria, it’s likely she won’t feel upset about being excluded but rather find some relief instead.
