Spice Girls Reunion on the Horizon?

On Tuesday, Mel B appeared ecstatically happy as she basked in the sun alongside her fiancé Rory McPhee, in the vibrant city of Miami.

49-year-old former Spice Girl posted a series of affectionate photographs on her Instagram Stories, which depicted her and her partner sunbathing without clothing.

While relaxing outdoors without any makeup on, Mel took a selfie showing off her authentic beauty and radiant, bare-skinned look.

She charmed her fans with a nostalgic nod to the past, styling her hair into the iconic space buns from the ’90s that were associated with Scary Spice’s signature look.

In the scorching Miami heat, Rory, aged 37, raised the thermometer further, stripping off his shirt to display his chiseled abs.

Afterward, the pair enjoyed a meal delivered to their bed, and Mel was captured making a ‘V’ for victory gesture before diving in.

In an excited post on her story, the singer shared: “Sunny Miami moments with my partner” and “A quick bite for two – our dear love”.

Ever since November 2022, I’ve been deeply enamored with this extraordinary hairdresser. He’s not just a stylist; he’s the one who’s taught me the art of loving again, a skill long forgotten after my tumultuous decade-long marriage with Stephen Belafonte ended in 2016.

Mel’s lively updates follow closely on the heels of Geri Horner subtly suggesting, perhaps more strongly than ever before, that the Spice Girls could be getting back together with all five members involved.

Mel and Geri 52, formed the band in 1994 alongside Melanie C, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham.

Ever since their official split, numerous speculations have emerged about a potential reunion. More recently, Mel B has expressed excitement once more about the possibility of another tour together.

In her latest interview, Geri expressed optimism about their relationship, contrary to previous reports suggesting they haven’t been getting along.

She shared with The Times, “I am hoping that we can reunite as a unified group. It seems more considerate to return as one unit.

In simpler terms, ‘There is an upcoming event. We’re all going to unite. We have deep affection for one another. I cherish them, I value their well-being, and we wish nothing but the best outcomes for each other.’

I’ve been utterly captivated by this shared experience that’s left an indelible mark on me. Through thick and thin, I’ve consistently trusted and relied on you, a bond so precious it leaves me awestruck.

She also confirmed that the five of them do have a group chat but wouldn’t reveal the name of it.

Following a suggestion from fellow Spice Girl Melanie C, there’s a possibility they might carry out a unique project next year in celebration of their debut album ‘Spice’, which turns 30.

The girl group last toured together in 2020 as a foursome, with only Victoria missing out.

The last occasion when Emma, Melanie Brown (Mel B), Melanie Chisholm (Mel C), Victoria Adams (Victoria) and Geraldine Halliwell (Geri) performed together as a group was during the opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

During a chat with Rebecca Judd on Apple Music 1 earlier this month, Melanie C hinted: ‘Something special is likely for the 30-year anniversary of “Wannabe”.’

Regardless of how much time passes, being a Spice Girl is forever. It’s something we all seem to share, and now we’re reuniting because we understand that to accomplish anything significant, we must begin organizing our plans to ensure everything goes smoothly.

‘We have to start making the plans right now and putting them into action. So fingers crossed.’

Instead, she acknowledged that the initiative could potentially rest with her and Mel B, as she expressed it this way: “I believe Mel B and I might enter the fray with full force, urging, ‘Let’s go! The time is now!’

The enthusiasts of the ’90s band were overjoyed when it seemed their dreams of another reunion might still be possible, despite earlier concerns that a bitter disagreement among two band members had dashed those hopes.

News surfaced in November about Geri’s decision to withdraw from a substantial Netflix biography project, which would have earned each of the five band members approximately one million pounds apiece.

As reported by The Sun, the streaming service allegedly informed the band that if they couldn’t agree, the show would proceed without their involvement, similar to how the series The Crown is made without direct input from those portrayed on screen.

According to a source, executives want everyone involved, encouraging maximum input – given that they are considered the ‘pop royalty’ of the industry.

However, Netflix boldly disregarded the preferences of actual royalty and produced “The Crown”, which shows they aren’t hesitant to stand alone when necessary.

Since the project is just starting out, there’s still ample opportunity for us to bring all five Spice Girls on board.

In November, Geri’s spouse, Christian Horner, had to refute allegations that he played a role in halting the band’s television venture.

He informed the Press Association news agency that there are currently no intentions for creating a family-focused documentary.

Netflix provides plenty of backstage content, so I’m not sure where this new information is originating from.
