Spencer Pratt Made $24k From TikTok After LA Wildfires Destroyed His Home

Spencer Pratt shared that he’s amassed a substantial, life-altering sum of money using TikTok, following the loss of his home in the latest Los Angeles wildfires, along with his wife Heidi Montag.

Over the past few days, the celebrity, aged 41, has experienced a significant increase in his number of followers, and he openly acknowledged that this boost has positively impacted his family’s financial situation.

Spencer shared with Variety: “I earned approximately $4,000 from TikTok this week, but through TikTok Live, where viewers can donate directly to me, I received around $20,000. This is truly extraordinary and potentially life-altering.

‘That’s the power of individual supporters, people just backing you and getting behind you.

‘Nothing beats the genuine feeling of giving without relying on advertisements, artificial intelligence, or algorithms. It’s simply astonishing and amazing that real people are willing to help each other out.’

The app has confirmed that it will soon be back up and running, expressing gratitude towards President-elect Trump for his intervention. As the social media platform recovers from its significant outage, initial signs of restoration are becoming apparent.

Spencer has successfully leveraged the platform to publicize his wife’s 2010 album, Superficial. Here’s what he said about its financial success: “I’m not sure how much income it generated. I don’t know if the payments arrive in envelopes or when, but everyone keeps reminding me, ‘Don’t hold your breath for any money’.

As an ardent enthusiast, I find myself drawn more towards the buzzing energy and the prospective advantages it offers. To be completely honest, I don’t see the streams and graphs as a means to generate wealth in themselves.

Spencer shared that his time on TikTok had revitalized his optimism, after the devastating wildfires.

According to what he’s hearing from others, the music industry primarily revolves around touring and merchandise. It encompasses various associated aspects; these are typically how artists generate income, unless they have a massive number of streamings in the billions, which he is actively promoting.

Things haven’t kicked off just yet, but I’m choosing to stay hopeful. That’s the best approach to cope with everything we’re facing right now.

After facing criticism following their receipt of donations, which came about after losing their house, they responded.

Over the past decade, the Los Angeles region has experienced some of its most intense windstorms, igniting fires that have razed numerous buildings and taken at least 27 lives. However, the exact number of fatalities is still unknown.

A fiery blaze swept through several high-end properties in the Pacific Palisades, notably including the $2.5 million residence of Heidi and Spencer, which is located within that area.

In my role as a lifestyle advisor, I found myself hastily evacuating from a catastrophe zone alongside my two lively boys, Gunner, aged six, and Ryker, a spirited two-year-old. We had to leave the majority of our cherished possessions behind.

Despite the fact that Heidi and Spencer didn’t ask for donations personally, two of their TikTok acquaintances established a GoFundMe campaign on their behalf, which sparked controversy among social media users as they highlighted the plight of numerous less fortunate individuals who had also lost their homes.

Responding to criticism, Spencer clarified that neither he nor Heidi claim to be wealthy. He stated that there was no obligation for anyone to donate funds to them, emphasizing that it wasn’t a tax matter, as reported by Us Weekly.

Initially, the duo, affectionately called Speidi by their fans, gained popularity as a reality TV pair on The Hills, a show that ended its broadcast on MTV back in 2010.

Additionally, they’ve been supplementing their $134,000+ from GoFundMe with extra income. For instance, Spencer has been capitalizing on the sales of his Pratt Daddy Crystals.

Currently, Heidi’s devoted followers are playing her 2010 album Superficial with such fervor that the song “I’ll Do It” has climbed to the top of the iTunes US charts.

She received some assistance from other famous personalities, including Paris Hilton and Emily Ratajkowski, who promoted her music on social media platforms. Notably, both Paris Hilton and Emily Ratajkowski were also affected by the fires, having lost their respective homes.

Spencer responds casually to the criticism regarding GoFundMe: “We’re accustomed to unfavorable reactions, so this is just par for the course. If someone chooses to donate money to whoever they prefer, it’s essentially like purchasing a celebrity’s merchandise or movie tickets.

I expressed: “Individuals have the freedom to utilize their own resources as they see fit, and gratefully, there are those who choose to aid and contribute to our cause.

Spencer pointed out: ‘People aren’t obligated to, and it’s not a tax. They can express whatever opinions they choose. However, those who are contacting [you], they’re requesting money or asking you to use their Amazon wishlist.’

He mentioned that it was his TikTok companions who independently established a GoFundMe page, which continued to grow and achieve incredible things. Later, they moved it to our account. We’re incredibly grateful for their initiative and they also arranged an Amazon wishlist.

Heidi expressed her discomfort with asking for money through a crowdfunding site, but Brandon and Courtney responded by saying something like: “We understand your reservations, but we know individuals who wish to contribute financially to your cause. A single donation could make all the difference.

She stated: ‘To begin with, we didn’t anticipate anyone giving money. However, surprisingly, there have been numerous individuals expressing their desire to donate $5.’

Spencer highlighted how numerous individuals gave modest sums, such as five dollars, equating to ‘the price of a cup of coffee for someone, thereby someone has paid for our coffee.’ However, he also acknowledged: ‘There are some who contributed more significantly, and I expressed gratitude to each one personally.’

Addressing those who criticize him, he remarked: “Until just a few days back, people didn’t believe we were wealthy celebrities, and it’s becoming increasingly annoying. If you search ‘Spencer’ online, it literally states: ‘Financially struggling, no net worth.’

He went on to say, “Now, our home is in flames, and so is my parents’ house. Yet, we have become wealthy celebrities, which is maddening because the media, with due respect, has never recognized us as celebrities nor referred to us as rich.

Spencer argued: “It’s clear that no one with a rational mind considers us wealthy celebrities. Instead, it appears these individuals are merely criticizing or teasing us without any real basis. The people who have been watching our lives on social media and supporting us understand that we are not wealthy celebrities.

According to him, people who follow us have a clear view of our daily lives because we’ve been sharing them on Snapchat for the past 11 years. From dawn till dusk, you can see what we’re up to. Our followers understand that we’re not wealthy celebrities; they know we enjoy Mexican food and buy organic eggs. They’ve come to expect this from us because we record everything that happens in our lives.

He mentioned that they’ve invested all their savings into building a home for their children over the past eight years, meticulously maintaining each detail along the way. The house spans approximately 3,000 square feet and, while it may not be considered a mansion in the Palisades.
