Spencer Pratt finally admits he sold photos of Mary-Kate Olsen with her nepo baby beau for $50K

Spencer Pratt has admitted to leaking photos of Mary-Kate Olsen.

In his new memoir, 42-year-old media personality admits he took advantage of his friend Max Winkler’s split from Mary-Kate Olsen, now 39, back in the early 2000s.

In 2002, he went to Crossroads School in Santa Monica, California, alongside Daniel The Row co-founder and Ben Winkler, the son of actor Henry Winkler.

People magazine reports that Pratt admitted to taking apart a collection of photos dedicated to Olsen by Winkler – a collection he called a record of their early romance, including pictures from European hotels and Hollywood parties – and selling the pieces to a tabloid for $50,000.

According to the excerpt, the speaker asked Max for permission to remove photos from his wall, believing it might help him heal. Max didn’t object, so the speaker assumed he had given consent.

He admitted in his book that he’d used a friend’s heartbreak as the basis for his new business, boasting about how he’d turned the situation into funding when he was just twenty years old.

Just a few days later, I saw proof of my business idea working right there on a magazine cover at a gas station. InTouch had a headline screaming ‘TEENS GONE WILD!’ – it was exactly what I’d hoped for.

The author also mentioned a photo of him with Olsen appeared in the magazine, but it was submitted by a different source.

I snapped a photo of Mary-Kate surrounded by a pile of empty containers, and she exclaimed, ‘Look at all the empties!’ I was in the background, caught mid-wave with my shaka sign.

I still hadn’t sold the frame. While another shopper was looking around, I suddenly felt like I was being displayed along with the items for sale.

He explained that his face would always be associated with the rumors about Mary-Kate Olsen’s rebellious period, appearing on magazine covers at grocery store checkouts nationwide.

In a 2008 appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, Olsen shared that she and Pratt weren’t close, explaining he had a tendency to get angry and would sometimes abruptly leave soccer games when frustrated.

After losing his home in the 2025 California wildfires, Pratt is now focused on rebuilding his life with his wife, Heidi Montag.

The couple married in 2008 and share sons Gunner, eight, and Ryker, three.

The singer, who grew up in Los Angeles, recently joined the They Let Us Burn! protest and announced his surprising intention to campaign for mayor.

In a recent speech, he stated that Los Angeles’s system isn’t just facing difficulties—it’s completely failing. He described it as rigged to benefit those in power and their associates, leaving everyone else to suffer the consequences, like breathing in dangerous smoke and ash.

Continuing with the same old approach will ultimately fail Los Angeles, and I’m no longer willing to wait for effective leadership to step up.

I’m running for mayor because I believe we need real change. This isn’t just about winning an election – it’s about fixing a broken system and bringing everything to light.

The father of two explained that authorities deliberately allowed the fire to continue before, during, and after it started, with no one taking responsibility. He described it as a serious case of negligence, stating they simply allowed the situation to unfold.

This wasn’t an accident or something nobody could have prevented. They were responsible, and we expect them to be held accountable.
