SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed Coming to Xbox in 2026 With More Frantic Multiplayer Platforming Mania
Developer Fair Play Labs, in collaboration with tinyBuild, has revealed that the upcoming game SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed, successor to the 2016 release SpeedRunners, is set for a 2023 launch on Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
Originally planned for release on PCs in 2021, SpeedRunners 2 promises another thrilling serving of multiplayer platforming action, supporting up to eight players this time around. Fresh trials lie ahead, earning it the nickname by some as the ‘Mario Kart of 2D platformers’.
The game provides both online and local multiplayer options, inviting you to fight against opponents by pushing them off the screen to eliminate them. You can utilize a variety of potent tools such as freeze rays, missiles, traps, and grappling hooks in this battle. Additionally, the action will be presented with vivid graphics.
In 2026, the highly-anticipated sequel to SpeedRunners, titled “King of Speed 2”, will make its way onto Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, with a preliminary PC release planned for later this year.
