Spectre Divide unlocks Ranked mode in its Closed Beta

Spectre Divide unlocks Ranked mode in its Closed Beta

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen the evolution of competitive multiplayer games, from Counter-Strike to VALORANT and now, Spectre Divide. The announcement of Ranked mode in the Spectre Divide Closed Beta is like a sweet, nostalgic symphony to my ears.

Spectre Divide’s Closed Beta will introduce the long-anticipated game mode, as Ranked play begins on August 19th.

The closed beta for Spectre Divide is now active, revealing the collaborative efforts of Mountaintop Studios and shroud. So far, we’ve only experienced the game in its Casual mode, but that’s about to change as Ranked mode enters the Spectre Divide closed beta.

Given its resemblance to games like Counter-Strike and VALORANT, it’s logical that gamers will have the opportunity to test their skills in a ranked mode. While casual and competitive gaming circles can overlap, they frequently represent distinct experiences for many games.

So, let’s dive into the tease and eventual announcement of the mode arriving in the beta period.

Spectre Divide teased the mode hours before the announcement

At approximately 9:00 AM Pacific Time on August 16th, the Spectre Divide X account shared a post featuring a sneak peek at their closed beta’s locked Ranked mode. They hinted that they would soon make this mode accessible to players.

After that, there was a response from Mountaintop Studios’ X account. They communicated with two emojis, implying they were passing control. Later in the day, these symbols represented the keys which later granted access to the Spectre Divide Closed Beta Ranked mode, but not immediately.
