Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis is released from jail after shocking arrest

Kathryn Dennis, known from the reality show Southern Charm, has been released from jail after serving part of her 30-day sentence for driving under the influence.

According to Us Weekly, the 34-year-old reality TV star was released from Berkeley County Hill-Finklea Detention Center in South Carolina on Tuesday.

She received a sentence on October 3rd and spent 11 days in jail because she was involved in a car accident on May 20, 2024.

According to a sheriff’s office representative, she left around 10 a.m., about five minutes prior to the report.

Following the car accident in 2024, witnesses told police that Kathryn seemed to be under the influence, and officers reported smelling alcohol on her.

She reportedly also appeared to have glossy eyes, according to the incident report.

According to the police report, officers found a sealed mini bottle of Fireball and an empty pink cup on the floor of the Bravo star’s car.

Kathryn was asked whether she had been drinking or taken any medication, and she denied both.

Video from the night she was arrested showed her unsteady on her feet and without shoes, standing in the bright lights of the police car.

In the video, the officer took Fireball bottles out of her bag, one at a time, and then threw them away.

Kathryn refused a breathalyzer test but agreed to undergo a field sobriety test.

Oh my gosh, the report said the officer *immediately* did the HGN test – you know, the one where they make the suspect follow their finger with their eyes? It’s SO fascinating! The cop is basically looking for tiny, involuntary jerks – like, really subtle movements – because those are a sign, a *huge* sign, that someone might be impaired. I’ve watched so many dashcam videos, and it’s amazing how quickly they can spot it! It’s all about the eyes, you guys, the *eyes*!

The person showed four signs of possible intoxication, including difficulty following a moving object with their eyes.

I watched as Kathryn took off her shoes, preparing for the walk and turn test. It was clear right away she was struggling – she just couldn’t keep her balance, and it was tough to see.

She was also unable to balance on one leg without wind-milling her arms to maintain equilibrium.

The video showed the influencer saying to herself, ‘I aced that field sobriety test. This is ridiculous. I wasn’t even drunk.’

I couldn’t believe what I saw! She was pulled over by the police, and get this – she had her adorable Golden Doodle, Lil Gucci, in the car with her. Then, while she was doing the field sobriety tests, she actually put Lil Gucci in the *back* of the police car! It was the strangest thing, but honestly, Lil Gucci seemed pretty chill about the whole situation.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! They actually checked the carrier, and… and they found Fireball! Like, little tiny bottles of it! Some of them were even *empty*, can you imagine?! It’s proof, I tell you, proof that someone was trying to sneak some fun in there! I knew it! This is amazing!

Kathryn is a mother to two children: 11-year-old Kensington and 9-year-old St. Julien Rembert. She shares them with her former partner, Thomas Ravenel, who is 63 years old.

At the scene, she told the officers they were ruining her life and the lives of her children, adding sarcastically, “Thanks for nothing.” She also complained that they hadn’t performed a sobriety test to determine if they had a valid reason to intervene.

That’s not right. You didn’t take a breathalyzer test. While I might be a little unsteady on my feet, you never actually checked if I had been drinking.
