South Korea Police raided Dynamis One headquarters over allegations of a leak of undisclosed NEXON Games project

A South Korean game studio known as Dynamis One, established by ex-developers from Nexon Games, has been visited by law enforcement officials due to accusations that they unlawfully disclosed confidential development data related to a secretive Nexon Games project.
On February 24, 2025, police conducted a search operation and confiscated evidence showing some high-ranking figures had unlawfully transported resources outside the Studios’ main office, allegedly in violation of regulations.

As per a report by ChosunBiz, the latest action taken by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Industrial Technology Security Investigation Unit involves a raid on the main office of Dynamis One, located in Seocho-gu, Seoul. During this operation, they confiscated relevant evidence and materials.
Dynamis One is a South Korean video game company founded by ex-Nexon employees who had worked on Nexon’s anime-style RPG, Blue Archive. This company was set up in April 2024 by Park Byeong-rim and other leading developers.
This very year, in September, I was eagerly anticipating the reveal of Project KV, but it quickly became a source of disappointment when it drew heavy criticism due to its striking resemblance to Blue Archive. Regrettably, it was eventually shelved as a result.
As for the current investigation, the authorities have uncovered proof implying that certain high-ranking individuals may have illicitly transported construction resources intended for a secretive initiative called “MX Blade,” while they were in the process of departing from Nexon Games.
CEO of Dynamis One and other key figures are now facing charges
The CEO, Park, and other important team members helped create the game during their tenure at Nexon Games. They’ve faced allegations of deliberately sharing sensitive details about the project prior to departing from the company, a practice that is considered unlawful.
It’s said that they planned to use the information for creating games at their newly established game studio, but they’re currently being accused of violating the Unfair Competition Prevention Act.

In reply, Nexon Games expressed concern, stating, “This incident represents a significant breach that jeopardizes the integrity of our game development ecosystem.” The company is fully committed to assisting the ongoing police probe for stringent justice and has revealed intentions to bolster internal safety measures.
