South Korea and Europe will hold MSI in 2026 and 2027
Over the next two years, we can look forward to the return of the MSI event to both South Korea and Europe. Interestingly enough, this year’s event will take place in Canada instead.
It’s been announced that the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), a significant tournament within the League of Legends community, has already set the locations for both 2026 and 2027.
In the latest developer’s video, they revealed that the upcoming 12th installment of MSI will be hosted in South Korea. However, we’re excited to find out where the 2025 event will be staged first.
MSI 2025 location
2021’s event will take place for the first time ever in Canada, with Vancouver being the only city currently confirmed. From June to July, a total of ten teams hailing from various parts of the globe will compete in this Canadian city.

As a hardcore gamer, I can’t help but feel excited about the upcoming League of Legends events in South Korea. This year, we’ll witness the debut of The First Stand in the country. Fast forward to 2026, and MSI will make its grand return to South Korea for the first time since 2022. Reminders of that epic championship still linger, as Royal Never Give Up clinched victory against T1 with a nail-biting 3-2 score. They also made history by becoming the first team to win three MSI titles. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!
MSI 2027 in Europe
2024 saw the Worlds tournament unfold in Europe, with T1 successfully retaining their position as global champions. In 2027, the MSI competition is set to make a comeback in Europe for the third time, having previously taken place in Germany and France in 2018 and Iceland in 2021. The 2021 MSI battle saw RNG outplay DWG KIA (now known as Dplus KIA) with a score of 3-2 to secure the victory. As for where the 2027 event will be held, that information remains to be disclosed.
