Sorry dystopian fans, Snowpiercer isn’t on tonight, Sunday, Sept. 29 (and more bad news)

As a die-hard Snowpiercer fan who’s been on this icy rollercoaster since day one, it’s a bittersweet pill to swallow that tonight, Sunday, Sept. 29, there’s no new episode of my favorite post-apocalyptic series. AMC has been our beacon of hope in these frozen times, but alas, even the mighty Snowpiercer must come to an end.

It’s terrible news for Snowpiercer fans. There isn’t a new episode on tonight, Sunday, Sept. 29.

For over ten weeks now, AMC has delivered fresh episodes that fans have eagerly anticipated for several years. These episodes were produced and prepared, yet TNT decided not to broadcast the series at that time.

At least we didn’t leave empty-handed; the episodes were definitely worth the wait! We finally got a glimpse of New Eden thriving, but external dangers loomed over the newly established town. Without the intervention of some Snowpiercer residents, New Eden might have been buried under several hundred feet of snow.

Snowpiercer has officially come to an end

Tonight, on September 29 (Sunday), there won’t be a fresh episode of Snowpiercer airing. This is because the last one we saw was actually the end of Season 4.

Unfortunately, there’s some additional disappointing news. Not only did Season 4 mark the end of the series, as TNT decided to halt its original programming, but it was also the last season altogether. The storyline of Season 4 was designed to wrap things up. You can watch the finale and judge for yourself whether it provided a satisfying conclusion. Naturally, everyone has their own ideas about how the characters should end up.

Although AMC provided a platform for the final season, there wasn’t much optimism that the series would avoid being terminated altogether. This isn’t merely about the network renewing it; rather, it involves the availability of cast members. Since the show was canceled, their contracts would have expired. Key actors like Daveed Diggs and Jennifer Connelly are highly sought-after, making it challenging to entice them back for future seasons.

Therefore, the thrilling series “Snowpiercer” has concluded. Now, you have the opportunity to enjoy all four seasons consecutively on AMC+, allowing you to follow the narrative’s development and, it can be said, witness its circular conclusion in the series finale.
