Sopranos Star’s Daughter Dies at 58 After Brave Battle with Cancer

One of the stars of the series Sopranos has seen his daughter die at age 58.

Domestic Chianese shared the sad news that his beautiful daughter, Sarah Francesca Chianese, lost her battle with glioblastoma.

A type of brain cancer known as glioblastoma originates from supportive tissue cells (glial cells) within the brain, particularly from the specific cell type called astrocytes.

The date of her death is April 15.

The news was shared by the family through a fan account called Sopranos Aficionado.

‘On Tuesday, April 15th, Sarah Francesca Chianese, who was the daughter of Dominic Chianese, passed away tranquilly.’

She fought against glioblastoma, a formidable foe, until her 58th year on earth. Throughout it all, her devoted father remained at her bedside until the final moment.

According to her sister, Rebecca, Sarah was like a beacon of radiance in the world. Her goal was to help everyone find their greatest happiness and remember her with a smile.

94-year-old Dominic is a versatile American artist, with acting, singing, and music as his fortes. He gained notoriety through his portrayals as Corrado ‘Junior’ Soprano on the HBO series The Sopranos, Johnny Ola in The Godfather Part II, and Leander Whitlock in Boardwalk Empire.

The Sopranos aired from 1999 until 2007.

The crime drama centered on Tony Soprano who is a part of the mob.

He visits a counselor to manage both his work-related issues and personal struggles, leading to episodes of anxiety attacks.

During an interview with PEOPLE, Sarah’s brother Dominic Jr. expressed that his beloved sister was admired for her exceptional kindness, describing it as one of the most remarkable qualities a person can possess.

He mentioned that Sarah is skilled at hosting parties due to her ownership of a catering company. To me, that ability is truly impressive; it shows how well-suited she is for organizing events.

He remarked that she was truly committed to her catering business, showing the same level of dedication an authentic artist displays for their art.

I’d like to mention that my father, Dominic, was present during Sarah’s last days, offering his support as she went through her transition. This meant a lot to her, as well as to him.

Her son said she was ‘one of the most accomplished women I’ve ever known.’

In various stages of her life, she excelled at diverse tasks – from renovating and preserving old barns, to working diligently in a law firm during her youth, and ultimately ruling over the Hudson Valley with her catering company in her later years. Regardless of the task or deadline, she consistently delivered outstanding results, often exceeding expectations.

Dominic did theater before starring in the series East Side/West Side.
