Renowned actor and theatre director Jerry Adler, most recognized for his extended stint as Herman ‘Hesh’ Rabkin in The Sopranos, passed away at the age of 96.
Adler’s death was confirmed on Saturday in a post on X by his friend Frank J. Reilly.

In the world of theatre, the actor had a long-standing career that spanned over several decades. However, it wasn’t until the early 1990s that he started to gain prominence on the screen, making his debut in films and television at a relatively late stage in his career.
In 1993, one of his initial significant film appearances was in the critically-acclaimed Woody Allen mystery comedy Manhattan Murder Mystery. Over the years, he has played pivotal roles on television shows such as Mad About You, Rescue Me, The Good Wife, and Transparent.
