Sopranos Actor Dead at 84
Character actor Charley Scalies has died at age 84 following a battle with Alzheimer’s.
Anne Marie Scalies, Scalies’ daughter, shared with The Hollywood Reporter that her beloved father took his last breath on Thursday at a care home in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
Thomas ‘Horseface’ Pakusa was featured in a dozen episodes of The Wire, and he made an appearance on one episode of the highly-praised mafia show, The Sopranos.
Or, more colloquially:
Thomas ‘Horseface’ Pakusa starred in 12 episodes of The Wire, and he popped up in a single episode of the super popular mafia series, The Sopranos.
He played Coach Molinaro, Tony Soprano’s high school football coach, in a dream scene.
An obituary for Scalies, written as a tribute, highlighted that he passed away tranquilly, underscoring the significant part family held in his existence.
Initially recognized for his roles as a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and companion, it was noted that his preferred audience was always gathered at the dinner table.
