Sophie Turner, formerly married to singer Joe Jonas, has been preparing for a year to return as Lara Croft.

She will be picking up the role as the iconic Tomb Raider star for Amazon MGM’s live-action series.

Sophie will star alongside Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs in the upcoming movie based on the video game. Filming is set to start in January 2026.

The actress recently told ScreenRant that she started preparing for her newest role back in February [2025], though she couldn’t share many details.
