Sophie Turner, Maya Jama, Cat Deeley and Jodie Comer lead the glamour at Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year as Victoria Beckham skips the red carpet procession at Claridge’s
As a seasoned celebrity with a career spanning decades, Victoria Beckham has certainly experienced the highs and lows of fame. From being chased by paparazzi to gracing the covers of prestigious fashion magazines, she’s seen it all. Yet, as she enters a new chapter of her life at 50, she seems to have grown weary of the limelight.
As a lifestyle aficionado, I had the pleasure of gracing an extraordinary night celebrating female accomplishments, where three dynamic British personalities from the realms of acting, presenting, and styling took center stage at the Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year event. This empowering evening unfolded on Tuesday night.
Without a doubt, the prestigious Claridge’s hotel in fashionable Mayfair, London, served as the setting where numerous celebrities readied themselves for the yearly event. This occasion, orchestrated by a popular monthly publication, was designed to honor our most prominent female figures and their outstanding accomplishments.
The attendees comprised Sophie Turner, a previous actress from Game of Thrones, Maya Jama, the host of Love Island, Cat Deeley, a presenter on This Morning, and Jodie Comer, a notable star from Killing Eve.
At a glamorous gathering, Sophie confidently displayed her long, slender legs in a striking, white, fringed minidress while having her photo taken.
At the event where she was to be given the Performance honor, the actress from Game of Thrones complemented her style with classic black pumps featuring sharp points, when she appeared alongside other notable figures in the gathering.
While Maya strutted into the event with flair, donning a sleek, black leather midi dress that accentuated her stunning physique, fitting her like a glove.
The host of Love Island complemented her appearance with slender-strap high heels, while elegantly pulling back her shiny dark hair into an elegant bun.
As a devoted admirer, I cannot help but be captivated by the radiant image of Cat, who gracefully donned a breathtaking gold sequined gown that accentuated her sleek silhouette. In true fashion of the esteemed This Morning star, she showcased an effortless elegance in this stunning ensemble.
For the ceremony, Jodie chose a lively mini dress adorned with black sequins, making her grand entrance alone. She paired this dress with unconventional yet stylish black platform sandals.
Instead of walking the red carpet as the night’s main guest, Victoria Beckham chose to make a dramatic entrance directly into the event instead.
On the other hand, noteworthy personalities like Louise Adams, the designer’s sister, and Jackie Adams, her mother, graced the event to show their support for her.
Before receiving the Entrepreneur Award at the event, Victoria granted an open and honest interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, confessing that she no longer values being a celebrity following her 50th birthday, choosing instead to hand over the spotlight to her daughter Harper.
In her recent chat with Harper’s Bazaar, the fashion designer talked about adjusting to life under the spotlight ever since she became famous as a member of the Spice Girls in the 90s.
She once enjoyed the excitement of dressing up elegantly and having her photos taken by paparazzi, but now she no longer takes pleasure in that experience.
In terms of maintaining her privacy, she expressed: “Going through certain phases helps shape your identity in the end. For us, it seems we’ve learned the art of being private, and that’s the approach we prefer to take in our current stage of life.
Back then, it was exciting to stroll along Bond Street with the paparazzi following me – I’d even pick outfits anticipating their attention. But now, I no longer wish for that kind of experience.
I’ve been engaged in it for far too long. To be honest, I probably started when I was young, but these days there are simply too many responsibilities; too much activity; too many children to care for. At the age of fifty, I find myself caring less about things.
Despite her apparent preference for avoiding the limelight, rumors suggest that Victoria and David Beckham are strategizing a clandestine high-valued business venture aimed at introducing their daughter Harper, aged 13, into the entertainment industry.
It is clear that Harper aspires to emulate her fashion designer mother and intends to establish a remarkable brand as she grows up.
It seems they’re gradually guiding their renowned daughter towards success by establishing a company to manage any potential future income of this promising talent.
In regards to Harper’s upcoming Netflix documentary, she mentioned: ‘The focus is primarily on the entrepreneur and designer behind the brand, rather than on personal matters. I understand that my life can be compared to a traveling circus, even when I’m working, but this piece will be all about fashion.’
Additionally, it’s clear that some parts involving the children will be included, such as Harper having her fitting for the show scheduled for Monday.
They will capture that moment on camera. However, the primary objective is to shed light on the business, particularly in America. This is the key motivation behind these actions.
Last year Victoria turned 50 and said she now doesn’t care for being in the public eye as much.
She told the magazine: ‘You have to go through those times to make you, ultimately, who you are.
We’ve managed to maintain a rather low profile, and that’s exactly the style we prefer for our current lifestyle.
It was once entertaining to stroll down Bond Street with photographers pursuing me, and I knew this was coming when choosing my outfit. However, I no longer desire that kind of attention.
It seems I’ve been engaged in this for far too long. Truth be told, as a child, it may have been appropriate, but these days, the pace is simply overwhelming – between the constant activities and taking care of multiple children, life has become quite hectic.
‘I woke up at 50, and I gave a s**t less.’
