Sophie Turner jokingly revealed that hearing the Game of Thrones theme song brings back difficult memories, comparing it to having ‘PTSD’ during an appearance on The Tonight Show.
The 29-year-old actress became famous at age 13 for her role as Sansa Stark in the popular HBO fantasy series.
Jimmy Fallon and I were talking on his show Wednesday about how it’s already been 15 years since Game of Thrones first aired.
Jimmy asked: ‘Do you feel the giant impact it’s made on television and the world?’
‘I think so? I don’t know,’ Sophie replied before Jimmy responded: ‘Do you ever watch it?’
The actress explained that she watched the first season of the show with her parents, but they strongly disapproved of it. She recalled them being very shocked and repeatedly saying ‘No!’

‘But no, I can’t watch it. I mean, hearing the Game of Thrones theme tune gives me PTSD.
‘I see it totally different.’
Elsewhere during the chat, Sophie made an X-rated joke while giving an insight into her new movie.
The actress is set to star as Lara Croft in Prime Video’s upcoming ‘Tomb Raider’ TV series.
She explained to Jimmy that it would be available on Amazon Prime soon, but they hadn’t begun filming yet.
I’ve been training consistently for over a year, and I’m feeling confident I could win in a fight right now.
Jimmy then asked if she could show the audience any new moves she’s learnt during training.
She playfully said she’d been considering it, but decided against it because of her skirt, joking that she didn’t want to accidentally reveal too much.

Sophie Turner, known for her role in Game of Thrones and formerly married to Joe Jonas, is currently in the United States promoting her new show, Steal, which is generating a lot of excitement.
Sophie will star as a regular office employee who unexpectedly finds herself involved in a large-scale crime.
All six episodes will premiere on January 21 on Amazon Prime.
The story centers around Zara Turner, who works as a junior employee at the investment firm, Lochmill Capital.
Her normal day at work turns into a nightmare when an armed group invades the office and forces her and her friend, Luke, to steal billions of pounds from people’s retirement savings.
The episodes are directed by Sam Miller (I May Destroy You) and Hettie Macdonald (Normal People).
Sophie’s career is really taking off, and she’s been preparing for her role as Lara Croft for a full year now.
She will be picking up the role as the iconic Tomb Raider star for Amazon MGM’s live-action series.

Sophie is set to star alongside Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs in the upcoming movie based on the video game, with filming expected to start in January 2026.
The actress recently told ScreenRant that she started preparing for her newest role way back in February [2025], though she couldn’t reveal many details.
I’ve been training for almost a year, and filming will begin in January.
I’m thrilled and well-prepared, and I’m incredibly grateful for our strong partnership with Amazon. I can’t wait for everyone to experience what we’ve created with Lara Croft and Tomb Raider – I truly believe it will be something remarkable.
Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander have both previously portrayed Lara Croft in past movies.
Sophie recently shared that it’s been weeks since her last date, after a brief relationship with Chris Martin of Coldplay.

She reflected on her ‘hard twenties’ as she prepares to enter a new chapter of her life.
Sophie recently shared that balancing her career with motherhood – raising daughters Willa, five, and Delphine, three, with her partner Joe – has left her with no time for dating.
According to the Daily Mail, Game of Thrones actress Rose Leslie has started dating singer Sean Combs, 48, following her recent split from Peregrine Pearson after almost two years as a couple.
I was so touched reading Sophie’s interview with PORTER. She basically said all I’m hoping for in my thirties is some peace and quiet – and honestly, that resonates with me so much! It’s a simple wish, but feels incredibly powerful.
I’ve been feeling overwhelmed for a while now, and I’m really hoping things will calm down soon. I’m looking forward to a more peaceful pace, but we’ll see what happens.
