Sophie Turner, 29, reveals she hasn’t been on a date ‘in weeks’ following ‘romance’ with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 48, as she reflects on surviving her ‘hard twenties’

Sophie Turner says it’s been weeks since she last went on a date, after a brief relationship with Chris Martin of Coldplay.

The 29-year-old actress looked back on the challenges she faced in her twenties as she gets ready for what comes next in her life.

Sophie Turner recently shared that she’s been focused on raising her daughters, Willa, five, and Delphine, three (whom she shares with her ex-husband, Joe Jonas), and hasn’t been dating.

In a recent interview with PORTER, Sophie expressed her desire for a peaceful and relaxed decade in her thirties.

I’ve been feeling overwhelmed for a while now, and I’m really looking forward to things calming down. I hope I can finally get some peace and quiet, but we’ll see what happens.

She admitted that the feeling of ‘mom guilt’ never really goes away. She balances working during the week with dedicating her weekends to her children. However, even when she takes a little time for herself, like having lunch with a friend, she feels anxious about leaving her kids and quickly wants to return home.

It’s been weeks, maybe months, since I’ve seen my friends or gone on a date. I sometimes just completely withdraw from things I enjoy.

‘I only have the capacity for work and family right now. But I’m working on it. I’ll get there.’

Sophie went braless beneath a chic black blazer as she stunned on the front cover of the magazine.

Chris and actress Dakota Johnson, 35, ended their relationship in June after being together for nearly eight years, including being engaged.

Although rumors of breakups and makeups circulated between Perry and Sophie throughout the summer, sources confirmed they officially ended their relationship following a lavish wedding in late September.

Witnesses reported seeing the actress and her aristocratic partner arguing and making out passionately on the dance floor.

Instead of dwelling on her recent breakup, Sophie quickly moved on and was seen on a date with Chris just a week later.

Chris Martin, known for his public ‘conscious uncoupling’ from Gwyneth Paltrow, spent this summer in London performing with Coldplay as part of their Music Of The Spheres tour, including several shows at Wembley Stadium.

People spotted the heir to the Cowdray estate, who lives in West Sussex, at a popular nightclub in west London last October. He was holding hands with a tall, blonde woman who looked remarkably like Sophie – and it was quite a funny resemblance.

A representative for Sophie Turner declined to comment. 

Sophie was surprised with a heartfelt birthday message from Chris, her new partner, and became visibly emotional. The video was a thoughtful gesture arranged by her former husband, Joe, revealing her to be a big Coldplay fan.

In a video from Joe Rogan’s 2020 show, Sophie was surprised on her birthday when her ex-husband played a video of the man she’s now dating.

You know, I always say a simple gesture can make someone’s day. I recently saw a guy at a restaurant do something really sweet – he passed his phone to an actress and said, ‘Someone here wants to wish you a happy birthday!’ It was a lovely, personal touch and she was clearly thrilled.

Holding her hands to her face in shock, Sophie squealed: ‘It’s Chris Martin!’

Chris Martin from Coldplay sent a message wishing everyone a fantastic day and sending his love, along with greetings from the rest of the band.

The singer signed off the video, ‘Thanks for being awesome, bye,’ and blew a kiss to the camera. 

Sophie was clearly emotional, fighting back tears, and said with a laugh, ‘I’m not going to cry on camera!’ She quickly handed Joe back his phone, covering her face with her hands.

Joe and Sophie, who used to date, seemed cheerful as Joe chuckled at Sophie’s response, and they celebrated with a high-five.

The actress married her former partner, Joe, in 2019, and they have two daughters: Willa, who is four years old, and Delphine, who is two.

The couple officially divorced in September 2024, just over a year after the Jonas Brothers member initiated the separation process.

Sophie and Perry were first connected romantically in 2023, and before reports of a breakup surfaced, they were last publicly seen together at the Glastonbury Festival in June.

Reports surfaced that Sophie joined Raya, a dating app known for its celebrity users, hoping to find a partner. Her profile was allegedly seen on the app in August.

Despite previous issues, they seemed to be back together in mid-September, getting close and taking photos together at a London event.

Peregrine is the oldest son and expected heir of Michael Pearson, the 4th Viscount Cowdray. His father, a former movie producer, controls a large part of the Pearson media company.

Cowdray Park Polo Club, located on his family’s historic estate, has ten polo fields and holds over 450 matches annually.

In August, it was reported that she posted nine photos on her Raya profile, featuring vacation pictures and a photo of her dancing in a hotel room.

The Sun reports that the actress’s profile on the app showed she enjoys music, pasta, movies, spending time with family and friends, and being in the sunshine.

The Daily Mail contacted Sophie’s representative for comment at the time. 

Rumors of their breakup started circulating after Sophie unfollowed Peregrine on Instagram earlier in the year, leading people to suspect they had split.

The actress started dating the son of Viscount Cowdray in December 2023, following her split from Joe after four years of marriage.
