Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing recently stepped out on the red carpet for the first time since their son, Ziggy, was born. They attended the 2026 BAFTAs at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday.
The new parents, who welcomed their first child in December, looked fantastic as they showed their affection for each other while hosting the red carpet coverage of the event.
Sophie, 31, looked stunning in a perfectly fitted black lace dress that showed off her figure beautifully.
The dress featured a fitted fishtail shape that flowed into a long, elegant train. She accessorized with sparkling diamond necklaces and earrings.
Sophie highlighted her features with glamorous makeup and styled her blonde hair in loose waves as she posed for photos before the big show.
Jamie, 37, looked handsome in a black suit and white shirt, and affectionately put his arm around his beautiful wife.
This year’s awards ceremony, hosted by Alan Cumming, will celebrate the biggest films of the year and welcome stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet, Jacob Elordi, and Michael B. Jordan.
Guests arriving on the red carpet will enjoy music from DJ Neev Spencer, who hosts on Magic FM. Clara Amfo and Ali Plumb will be reporting live from outside the famous London location.
The show will feature a star-studded lineup of guest hosts, including Aimee Lou Wood, Alicia Vikander, Cillian Murphy, Ethan Hawke, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Sadie Sink, and Stormzy.
The Royal Festival Hall will host appearances by stars like Kerry Washington, Minnie Driver, Monica Bellucci, Patrick Dempsey, and Regé-Jean Page, as well as many other notable figures.
Oh my gosh, you guys, the night is going to be INSANE! They’re saying there’ll be all sorts of performers, but honestly, I’m only caring about ONE thing: KPop Demon Hunters are finally performing outside of the US! I’ve been waiting forever! And it’s their track ‘Golden’ – the one that broke all the records! JAE, AUDREYNUNA, and REI AMI – the incredible voices behind HUNTR/X – are actually going to be here, performing it live! I can’t even breathe thinking about it!
During the In Memoriam segment, British singer Jessie Ware will honor the memory of those we’ve lost with a heartfelt performance of a song by Barbara Streisand.
This year, Dame Donna Langley will receive BAFTA’s highest honor, the Fellowship Award, as part of the Special Awards ceremony.
Oh my gosh, I just have to tell everyone about her! This incredible woman, the head of NBCUniversal Entertainment, is basically a legend. Seriously, her career is just…amazing. She’s done so much, and everyone in the industry – and I mean everyone – respects her. She’s a total powerhouse and I’m obsessed with everything she’s accomplished!
Clare Binns, Creative Director at Picture House Cinemas, will receive the BAFTA Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award.
Honestly, it’s about time she got some recognition! She’s the reason I get to see such amazing, different films – the kind that really push boundaries – all over the UK. She’s a total champion for filmmakers who aren’t afraid to be themselves, and I’m just thrilled she’s being honoured for it!
Everyone expects Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film, One Battle After Another, to win many awards, especially after receiving an impressive fourteen nominations this year.
However, it’s up against strong contenders, including the horror film Sinners, which received thirteen nominations, and Hamnet, a poignant drama directed by Chloé Zhao about the death of Shakespeare’s son, earning eleven nominations.
Based on Maggie O’Farrell’s acclaimed novel, the film Hamnet – which explores the family life of William Shakespeare – has received a record number of BAFTA nominations for a film directed by a woman.
Jessie Buckley, the Irish actress, has received an award nomination for her performance in a film, following wins at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, and previous nominations from the Academy Awards and Screen Actors Guild.
Paul Mescal, a co-star who wasn’t nominated for an Oscar, is also up for an award, having received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the BAFTAs.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m keeping a close eye on the BAFTA nominations! It’s exciting to see ‘Oppenheimer’ and Timothée Chalamet hoping to continue their winning streak – they’ve already snagged Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, and now they’re up for eleven BAFTAs, including the top prizes of Best Film and Best Actor. Fingers crossed they can make it three awards ceremonies in a row with a win!
Both “Frankenstein” and “Sentimental Value” received eight nominations, while “I Swear” and “Bugonia” each earned five. “The Ballad of Wallis Island,” “Pillion,” and “F1” all received three nominations.
The nominees for the Leading Actress BAFTA award include Rose Byrne, recognized for her role in ‘If I Had Legs I’d Kick You’; Kate Hudson, for ‘Song Sung Blue’; Chase Infiniti, starring in ‘One Battle After Another’; Renate Reinsve, featured in ‘Sentimental Value’; and Emma Stone, for her performance in ‘Bugonia’.
Leonardo DiCaprio is nominated for a BAFTA award for the seventh time, and could potentially win his second, for his performance as the lead actor in the acclaimed film, One Battle After Another.
