Sophie Habboo shows off her toned postpartum figure in a black lace dress as she joins husband Jamie Laing at their Raising Chelsea series premiere after trailer shared her traumatic birth

Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing, who are married, appeared very affectionate as they attended the premiere of their new show, Raising Chelsea.

The couple first connected on the reality show Made In Chelsea in 2017. They got married in Spain six years later, and in December, they had a baby named Ziggy.

A new Disney+ series, starting April 2nd, offers a candid look at their journey over a year and a half as they get ready to welcome their first child.

I have to say, I was so impressed to see Sophie, who’s only three months postpartum, looking absolutely amazing in a black lace dress! She’s really rocking motherhood and looking incredible while doing it.

Jamie, 37, looked the part of a new dad, wearing a casual white tank top paired with a stylish black jacket and pants.

The celebration included Sophie’s parents, Sarah and Patrique, her sister Georgia and brother-in-law Tom Berry, and Jamie’s mother, Penny, and sister, Emily.

Sophie started crying when her husband, Jamie, told her that problems during childbirth required an emergency C-section, all revealed in their new trailer.

The Made In Chelsea couple documented the arrival of their two-month-old son, Ziggy, for their Disney+ show. They had to quickly adjust their birth plan when doctors discovered the baby’s arm was positioned near Sophie’s cervix, creating a potentially dangerous situation.

Holding hands, Jamie comforted Sophie through the intensity of her first labor, and they were overjoyed when they heard their baby, Ziggy, cry for the first time.

Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Jamie shared some worrying news on camera: the baby’s arm is currently positioned dangerously through the mother’s cervix, requiring an immediate emergency C-section.

The trailer opens with a cheerful Jamie and Sophie traveling to The Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital, a private birthing unit.

Sophie said: ‘We think it’s happening,’ as Jamie added: ‘Let’s go guys!’

Jamie shared that they met on the reality TV show Made in Chelsea, and life has been a whirlwind ever since. They’ve been busy with television appearances, brand collaborations, and podcasts, and are now expecting a baby.

Sophie opened up about her deep desire to have a child, describing pregnancy as an emotional journey. She spoke about the joy and love she anticipates as a mother.

It broke my heart watching Sophie cry as she opened up about being a first-time mom and all the worries that come with it. Thankfully, Jamie was right there to comfort her, promising her everything was okay. It was such a sweet and reassuring moment.

The trailer hints at difficulties the couple faced, such as a fight in their former West London home.

Jamie exclaimed he was stressed and tired, but Sophie countered, accusing him of going behind her back, which she found completely unacceptable.

Even though Jamie runs two companies, including his candy business Candy Kittens, he says his wife, Sophie, is the one who leads things at home.

He said: ‘The dynamic between Sophie and I, she’s the boss and I’m the intern.’

Let me tell you, this show isn’t just about Jamie and Sophie! We get a real glimpse into their world with appearances from both their parents, Sophie’s sister Georgia – who’s a big influencer herself – and a lot of their closest friends. You might even recognize Oliver Proudlock, one of Jamie’s friends from his ‘Made In Chelsea’ days – he’s a fun addition!

Jamie’s mother, Penny, jokes to camera: ‘This pregnancy, you’d think the Messiah was arriving.’

When Ziggy arrived, the couple were overjoyed and relieved. Sophie shared, “I couldn’t have been more excited to meet him!”

Jamie showed he’s a dedicated dad when he changed Ziggy’s diaper, though it wasn’t easy. He jokingly complained, ‘Oh dear, this is a mess – pee went all over the place!’

As a lifestyle expert, I’m loving this series! It centers around Jamie and Sophie as they excitedly prepare for the arrival of their baby, Ziggy, and tackle a big home renovation project to get everything just right before he’s born. It’s a really relatable look at the joys and challenges of starting a family and making a house a home.

Sophie has opened up about the pressures women feel to ‘snap back’ after giving birth.

The celebrity shared that she often felt criticized by other moms, and no matter what she did, it never seemed good enough.

Honestly, it’s not what people think about the public eye, at least not for me. It’s way more about being a mom – it’s like you’re constantly being judged no matter what you do! It’s a really strange kind of pressure, actually.

No matter what you do, people will always have something to say.

I’m surprised by the feedback I’m getting – some people think the quick return to normal is unrealistic and happening too fast.

It’s just impossible to make everyone happy, and getting defensive shouldn’t even be a consideration.

Since having her baby, Ziggy, Sophie has felt more appreciative of herself and her body, which has been a welcome feeling as she adjusts to motherhood.

She explained that she feels more confident and has greater self-respect. She’s also much kinder to herself. Her son, Ziggy, is her main focus, and she no longer feels as much pressure to worry about her appearance. Caring for him occupies her mind, which she finds incredibly freeing and liberating.
