Sophie Habboo looks chic in a black halterneck dress as she joins husband Jamie Laing at the annual GLAMOUR Women of the Year Awards
As a dedicated follower of the glamorous world of celebrity, I must say that attending events like the GLAMOUR Women of the Year Awards is always a delightful experience. The sight of stars like Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing gracing the red carpet never fails to make my heart flutter with excitement.
Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing graced the scene as the GLAMOUR Women of the Year Awards kicked off at the London hotspot, Raffles, on a Tuesday night.
As a devoted fan, I proudly followed the journey of the Made in Chelsea stars as they made their grand entrance at this year’s ceremony held within the prestigious Whitehall venue, just 17 months after their heartfelt vows were exchanged. It was truly an exciting moment for them and us fans alike!
Sophie, aged thirty, exuded elegance in a stylish black halter dress as she struck poses on the red carpet with her spouse.
Strappy silver heels rounded off the look, while her hair was tightly pulled into a neat, conventional bun.
Accompanied by his wife, Jamie, aged 35, donned an appropriate attire for the event, wearing a sleek black tuxedo with well-polished dress shoes.
As a lifestyle aficionado, I recently found myself walking down the aisle not once, but twice! In the heart of London, surrounded by my cherished ones, I said “I do” at the enchanting Chelsea Registry Office in April 2023. A few weeks later, we journeyed to Spain for our second celebration, making it an unforgettable double-whammy of matrimonial bliss!
Sophie donned a beautiful, embroidered white wedding gown adorned with a voluminous lace veil, as her bridesmaids helped and spectators watched, while she stepped into the vehicle at Sotogrande – the vast private residential area in Andalusia.
A group of well-known acquaintances, such as Millie Mackintosh from Made In Chelsea and Zara McDermott of Love Island, also attended the gathering along with them.
On the occasion of our first wedding anniversary, Jamie posted: ‘Happy Anniversary to my beloved Spouse! A year has flown by, and I still can’t believe it. I couldn’t feel more fortunate.’ (This was taken at Chelsea Registry Office during our legal ceremony.)
GLAMOUR Women of the Year Awards returned for another year to celebrate some of the biggest names in music, television, film, and sport.
The occasion, backed by Samsung and its latest Galaxy Ring, celebrates the pioneering activists and trailblazers driving advancements towards women’s equal rights.
Past winners have included Kim Cattrall, Naomi Campbell and Victoria Beckham.
Renowned comedian Katherine Ryan is back in west London, hosting the event for a fourth consecutive year.
Deborah Joseph, GLAMOUR’s European Editorial Director, stated prior to the upcoming event: “The year 2024 has been a challenging and significant one for women worldwide, with many courageous activists confronting power, while also witnessing troubling setbacks in women’s rights.
‘While we still have so much to fight for, it’s even more important to champion the gamechangers, advocates, and feminist icons who are making the world a better place for women.
‘I can’t wait to toast them all at our annual GLAMOUR Women of the Year awards.’
