Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing recently posted sweet photos of their baby son, Ziggy, offering a sneak peek at their new Disney+ documentary about becoming parents.
Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing, 37, and his partner Sophie recently welcomed their first child, a son named Ziggy, making Jamie a father for the first time.
Last year, the couple, who got married in 2023, announced they’re sharing their experiences with becoming parents in a new documentary series. The series will cover Sophie’s pregnancy and how they manage their careers alongside family life.
On Saturday, Jamie shared something on Instagram that suggested their baby, Ziggy, might also be featured in the show.
Sophie and Jamie shared a series of photos, playfully called the ‘Ziggy files,’ showing them happily holding their son. One photo, in black and white, captured them smiling at each other.
Elsewhere Sophie was seen staring adoringly at her baby boy as she cradled him on the sofa.
Meanwhile Jamie was seen cooking up a storm in the kitchen with his son strapped to his chest.
Last year, Jamie and Sophie announced their new series, explaining they’ve been sharing their lives – both the good and the bad – with fans for almost ten years through television, radio, social media, and their podcasts.
We’re thrilled to announce that we’re teaming up with Disney+ and Dorothy St Pictures to share our next project with audiences worldwide.
As we get ready to welcome our little one, things are definitely changing – in the best way! It’s a really exciting new chapter for us, and we’re thrilled to share this journey with all of you – consider yourselves VIPs getting a front-row seat to all the fun!
Sean Doyle, Executive Director, commissioned the series. Dorothy St Pictures produced it, with support from Jampot Productions.
Earlier this month, Jamie jokingly referenced his own ‘dad bod’ in a video with his son. This came after some criticism for a previous post where he praised his wife, Sophie, as ‘superwoman’.
Jamie playfully shared on Instagram that he’s starting to get his body back after his wife, Sophie, teased him for wishing he hadn’t lost it after becoming a dad.
I was so touched by the video the celebrity posted! It showed him holding his son, and the caption read, ‘I missed how my body looked before you.’ It just felt so real and honest – a sweet acknowledgement of how much things change when you become a dad, but also how much joy a child brings. It really resonated with me!
The camera then showed Sophie looking unamused, and a message appeared on screen saying, ‘Seriously? You’re his dad, go to the gym!’
Jamie aptly captioned his post: ‘Dad bod era incoming.’
Jamie has been happily posting pictures about being a new dad, but he recently received criticism for a post some people felt created unrealistic standards for mothers.
Last month, he shared on social media how Sophie had made Christmas feel truly special, especially considering she’d given birth to their son, Ziggy, just three weeks prior.
However, people online quickly criticized the post, calling it insensitive and a typical example of only sharing the highlights of someone’s day on Instagram.
He received a lot of negative feedback from fans, with one person writing that while they usually enjoy his content, this particular post was insensitive and put unfair pressure on new mothers. They explained that not everyone has the financial means, help, or support needed to achieve what was depicted.
I don’t think this behavior is healthy or typical for social media. It seems focused on seeking approval rather than genuine healing and building strong relationships. I remember after having my baby, I was so exhausted that I slept almost all day on my first Christmas – just three weeks postpartum.
Others questioned whether the couple had outside help from caterers or other paid professionals.
After receiving criticism, Jamie posted on Instagram, admitting he could never understand how exhausted his wife was.
Jamie shared a clip of him performing squats whilst holding his newborn in the kitchen.
He shared a new rule he’d learned as a father: no matter how exhausted you feel, your wife is always more tired.
Oh my gosh, the comments just get it! Everyone’s agreeing with Jamie – they’re saying being a dad is exhausting, but honestly, it’s just not the same level of tired as being a mom! One person said it perfectly: ‘It’s not taking away from your sleep deprivation, but she’s dealing with so much more!’ And then someone else said he’s learning so quickly, and that his marriage is going to last forever! It’s just… everything he says is so true, and it’s amazing to see people recognize that! He’s so insightful, and I just know they’re going to be okay.
It’s completely true! She’s recovering from both pregnancy and childbirth while also caring for a new baby. Every woman sharing this post is likely sending it to their husbands to help them understand.
Sophie and Jamie announced the birth of their son on December 4, 2025 with sweet hospital snaps.
One photo showed Jamie with his arm around his wife as she held their new baby, and another featured Sophie simply cradling the child.
