Some viewers found themselves laughing uncontrollably following Sophie’s amusing parody, commenting: ‘It seems many people in the comments aren’t catching the humor or the reference, but this was simply brilliant.’

For those who might not recognize it as a satirical reply to an influencer’s peculiar morning ritual: This person wakes up unusually early, meticulously times every activity, and appears to accomplish very little before commencing their day around noon.

In January, Sophie responded for the first time following criticisms from BBC One viewers who labeled her New Year’s Eve performance as “uncomfortable” and “out of breath”.

2025 saw the music sensation launching the year with an enticing blend of popular tunes, featuring collaborations with artists like Jessie Ware, Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters, and The Last Dinner Party.

Some spectators highly appreciated her performance, labeling it as “top-notch” and “a delight,” while others found it disappointing, likening it to a typical “karaoke evening.

However, Sophie countered criticisms by posting a series of enthusiastic reviews for her New Year’s Eve Disco on her Instagram story.

Apart from that, she shared an array of beautiful pictures on her profile, capturing moments from the enjoyable event that happened earlier. Notably, she had a live performance at New York’s Times Square during their New Year’s Eve festivities as well.

She expressed great joy and pride, stating that she was fortunate enough to organize a New Year’s Eve dance party on BBC 1. It truly was an honor – I understand how unique and meaningful New Year’s Eve can be.

The @BBCOne #NewYear show on TV seems to be going awry. Sophie-Ellis Bextor appears to be struggling with her own songs, looking breathless and out of sync. Maybe she could just lip-sync and focus on stage presence instead. The whole thing is quite embarrassing to watch.
