Sophie Ellis-Bextor WOWS in Sultry Dress After Eurovision Scoop
At the Pub in the Park Marlow Charity Gala 2025, held in Higginson Park on a Friday evening in 2025, Sophie Ellis-Bextor captivated everyone’s attention by shining brightly on stage.
46-year-old singer from “Murder on the Dancefloor,” has been selected to take over from Ncuti Gatwa, the former Doctor Who star, as the representative for the United Kingdom at Eurovision 2025.
It was verified by the BBC that Ncuti can no longer perform his duty in the role, so Sophie has taken over to present the UK jury’s decisions directly from Basel, Switzerland.
Prior to assuming her new Eurovision responsibilities, Sophie gave a stunning performance at the charity event.
She was stunning in a dazzling, sequined black gown boasting high splits, which beautifully displayed her well-defined legs.
The striking costume boasted frilled trims on the sleeves and bottom, creating a sweeping effect as she gracefully moved about the stage while dancing.

Sophie completed the look with gold block heels and a bold pop of blue eyeshadow.
It was revealed on Thursday that Ncuti was unable to participate in the 2025 Eurovision final because of unexpected events that arose.
It has been announced that Sophie will take over the role of the UK’s representative for the song contest, a position previously held by a star from “Doctor Who.
On Saturday, Sophie will be sharing the scores from the British jury for every competing country’s song.
The BBC announced on Instagram that due to some unexpected events, Ncuti Gatwa regrettably won’t be able to serve as the Spokesperson for the Grand Final taking place this weekend.
Indeed, it’s with great pleasure I share the news: Live from the UK, the charismatic Sophie Ellis-Bextor, a regular host on BBC Radio 2’s Friday night Kitchen Disco, will announce the jury’s decision!
Earlier, Joanna Lumley, Fearne Cotton, Nigella Lawson, and Catherine Tate assumed the position of spokespersons.
Sophie expressed her enthusiasm: “I adore Eurovision, and it’s a great honor to be included in the 2025 Grand Final. It’s truly a privilege to share this distinguished platform and announce the UK’s jury score for such a unique show that consistently prioritizes music above all.

‘I am very much looking forward to delivering the iconic douze points from the United Kingdom!’
After Eurovision spectators had been consistently expressing similar opinions, it was during Thursday following the UK entry Remember Monday’s semi-final performance.
Audience members unanimously agreed that the girl band delivered an exceptional performance, leaving them feeling certain they would triumph during Saturday’s final show.
The trio comprising Lauren Byrne, Charlotte Steele, and Holly-Anne Hull are showcasing the United Kingdom by performing the song “What’s Going On?” or “What’s Been Happening?
The trio, from Hampshire, are the first girl group to represent the UK since Prescious in 1999.
Fans shared their excitement on X for the final and were completely in support of the group.
United Kingdom – Recall, what transpired on Monday, Our girls played exceptionally well and triumphed resoundingly!
OR
United Kingdom – Let’s revisit Monday’s events; our team of women performed outstandingly and emerged victorious!
‘This act’s voices stand out as the finest among all competitors in this competition. Their harmonies are rich, and their stage performance was a delight. We’re confident we’ll make it to the top 10!’

There’s no act with vocals quite as perfect as Remember Monday, and it’s almost unbelievable! If you value vocal talent, don’t forget to cast your vote for them this coming Saturday! #Eurovision
I adore the fact that Remember Monday kept smiling throughout their performance, no matter what. And let me just say, we absolutely adore you girls! #Eurovision2025
‘Slayed. Do it again on Saturday, babs! #RememberMonday #Eurovision2025’,
Don’t forget, Monday’s performance was fantastic – the music, the setup, everything spot-on. The vocals were particularly impressive, and if they can repeat that level of performance on Saturday, they should be very proud regardless of their final position at Eurovision.
Don’t forget, Monday delivered an outstanding performance – the vocals were exceptional, the chemistry was palpable, and they truly enjoyed being on that grand stage. Everything was spot on for #Eurovision2025.
Initially, they rose to fame following their appearance on The Voice UK in the year 2019, and they’ve also built successful careers within the theater industry.
In recent years, the UK hasn’t fared well in this upcoming competition taking place in Basel, Switzerland.
If Monday’s situation mirrors that of Olly Alexander from the 2023 entry, they’ve opted to have each team member get a tattoo representing the abbreviated version of their song title, “WTHJH?” (What’s The Holiday Here?) somewhere on their body.

In a more optimistic outlook, the team has chosen to honor their pledge should they finish among the top five contenders.
They stated on Instagram that if we achieve a ranking of top five or higher, everyone on the team must get the initials WTHJH permanently inked on their bodies.
“We’re determined not to accept a ‘no’. Is there a resounding yes from everyone? This is going forward, without a doubt. Even if it ends in last place with zero points, it’s still a victory worthy of a permanent mark.
They made it official that they were entering the Eurovision competition when they showed up as guests on The Scott Mills Morning Show, which airs on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds.
After several weeks, Scott finally shared the exciting announcement, expressing: “A song isn’t a Eurovision contender until I declare it as such! I can hardly wait to support our chosen representative, and I am confident you will find them captivating. They possess genuine talent and are truly delightful.
Currently available is a lively pop tune penned jointly by Billen Ted (Tom Hollings and Sam Brennan), Thomas Stengaard, and Julie ‘Kill J’ Aagaard. It’s packed with vitality, suspense, and excitement!
The girls seem poised for success, given their BRIT Award nomination alongside Billen Ted, who’ve collaborated with artists like Little Mix, Anne-Marie, MNEK, and Armin van Buuren, among others.
