Sophie Cachia reveals ‘petrifying’ details of shock breast cancer scare when she was just 21 years old
As a follower and admirer of Sophie Cachia, I am truly inspired by her strength, resilience, and courage. Her story of overcoming a shocking cancer scare at such a young age is a testament to her spirit and determination. It’s heartening to see how she uses her platform to raise awareness about breast cancer and support charities like the McGrath Foundation.
Sophie Cachia has spoken candidly about a startling experience with cancer she previously faced when she found a lump in her breast.
On Friday evening, the ex-WAG shared a video on Instagram detailing her recent life-threatening health incident.
At the tender age of 21, she shared that she discovered a lump on her breast and went through a deeply unsettling experience.
As a young adult of 21, I discovered an unusual lump beneath the skin of my left nipple. Without hesitation, my mother whisked me off to consult with our family physician, a fact I shared with my beloved fans.
The sleepwear business owner expressed significant concern, but relief came when a leading physician confirmed that the lump wasn’t malignant.
By mid-afternoon, she had found herself seated in the office of a renowned breast specialist in Melbourne, who reassured her that the detected lump was benign, a fact she subsequently divulged.
Sophie said she was ‘one of the very lucky ones’ to come out of such a scary experience unscathed.
She encouraged her audience to contribute to a breast cancer charity by purchasing Cygnett’s latest pink power bank. The money generated from these sales will be donated to the McGrath Foundation.
1 Woman expressed gratitude saying, “I couldn’t manage without my breast care nurse,” and another chimed in, “You’re truly impacting numerous lives.
Elsewhere, Sophie is currently counting down the days until welcoming her third child.
Sophie has a shared custody of her son Bobby (nine years old) and daughter Florence (seven years old) with the well-known AFL player Jaryd, whom she officially parted ways with towards the end of 2019.
And in July, the WAG-turned-influencer confirmed she is expecting her third child.
She made the surprise announcement with sweet photographs of herself cuddled up in bed with her two children.
Sophie, who has yet to disclose whether the baby’s father is known or conceived through a sperm donor, eventually shared that she is expecting a baby girl.

After parting ways with her AFL player husband, Jaryd Cachia, in 2019, the popular mummy blogger has been involved in a vibrant series of relationships.
She’s been involved in consecutive relationships with notable sportswomen such as Alanna Kennedy from the Matildas soccer team, engaged to basketball player Maddie Garrick of the WNBL, and then dating AFLW player Sophie Van De Heuvel.
Since her separation from Heuvel, Sophie has not been publicly associated with anyone. However, whispers suggest that she may have begun a new relationship with another basketball player this year.
