Due to the massive success of “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” at the cinema, Paramount Pictures has officially announced a specific release date for the upcoming “Sonic the Hedgehog 4“. Previously, they had only confirmed that the sequel was planned for 2027.
Together, the original 2020 Sonic movie, its sequel from 2022, and the third film that came out towards the end of last year have amassed over $1 billion at the box office, indicating that Paramount is eager to capitalize on this success by producing a fourth film.
It appears that Ben Schwartz will likely reprise his role as Sonic, alongside Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails and Idris Elba as Knuckles in the next film. Jim Carrey has shown an inclination towards returning as Doctor Robotnik. As for Shadow, played by Keanu Reeves, I haven’t had a chance to watch the third movie yet, so I’m unsure of his fate in the storyline.
