As a hardcore 90’s kid who grew up on Sega consoles and endless hours of Sonic the Hedgehog, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3! The trailer alone sent chills down my spine, with Keanu Reeves voicing the elusive and enigmatic Shadow. The rumors were true, folks! It’s going to be a Shadow-filled year in 2024, as SEGA promised, and I can hardly wait!
Paramount Pictures has unveiled a preview of the forthcoming “Sonic the Hedgehog 3,” the next installment in the Sonic film franchise, scheduled to hit theaters this coming December.
The latest trailer makes it official that Keanu Reeves will, indeed, lend his voice to Sonic’s arch-nemesis and ‘ultimate life form’, Shadow – a detail that had been whispered back in April. Given that SEGA has declared 2024 as the ‘Year of Shadow’, his presence in the third movie seems perfectly coordinated.
1) The movie “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” will hit theaters on December 20th, but before that, you can play as Shadow starting from October 25th in the game “Sonic x Shadow Generations”. In the meantime, Jim Carrey is returning to his role as Robotnik in “Sonic 3”, and he’s portraying an aged version of the character too.
